The ever-vigilant Neal Boortz was all over the story of a middle school that refused to allow a Marine to come visit a class of sixth-graders that had written him letters while he served in Iraq. After getting pressure from Boortz's listeners and others across the country, the local superintendent has now apologized.
Ranting Right Wing Howler highlights the principal's sorry excuse for blocking the Marine, Sgt. Zach Richardson, from visiting:
"My decision not to allow Zach Richardson to speak with the students on Monday came out of my regard for the safety and welfare of our children."
If you had to entrust your child to either a Marine or a public school pinhead, is there any doubt which one you'd choose?
More on the callous treatment of Richardson at Conservative Dialysis, Of the Mind, The Will to Exist
Lord, what fools these educrats be.
Fire the cow.
The only written thing I demand to see from these Democrats is their written resignations.
Greene County is very rural - kinda surprising for a Marine to be treated this way. On Veteran's Day 2003, a rural South Carolina school had me and several other OIF vets (and vets of other wars, too) to lunch. The kids put on a show for us.
ah how sweet, and as it should be, I suspect this generation of kids has a greater respect for the troops than their parent's generation
it has been noted that in Canada, despite the declining number of veterans, that our Remembrance Day ceremonies are increasingly attended by young people and some Ozzies were saying the same about their ANZAC day recently.....
Get on the phone -- and nail her ass. Big Time!!!
This cannot stand!!!
Submit her name to Volunteer Virgins for DEAD Jihadists!
Sorry just doesn't cut it in this case. The Principle must be blasted with my space modulator.
The principal may be from out of state, one of those products of the Three Minutes Hate taught at so many universities. She probably wants to bring her gospel of anti-Americanism to the proles.
Let her go teach in Iraq, and see how long it takes for her to drop her ban of Marines.
OK, fellow vets, help this citizen get a clue. We all need to write to her and help her get an education. Start a letter writing campaign.
I heard Afghanistan is hiring teachers.
Instead of teaching future leaders of this country about patriotism, the ultra-liberal principal chose to teach them anti-patriotism.
Good, the vet's there should know how to ride the cow out of town on a rail. After they tire and feather her of course.
What an absolute forking PIG.
My name is Ulrica Corbett and I am a native of Miami, Florida. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Bethune-Cookman College in Daytona Beach, FL and my Master's degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Central Florida (UCF) in Orlando, FL.
Prior to becoming a teacher I worked in Miami as a probation and parole officer. After successfully working with some youthful offenders I felt that I could possibly effect a change with more youth in a different setting. Since then I have taught high school English, Spanish and ESOL and middle school English. I have worked as an administrator in Florida, Alabama and Georgia in elementary, middle and high schools.
I enjoy reading, solving crossword puzzles, and watching sports - especially football, basketball and NASCAR!
I am excited to be a part of the Greene County School system and anticipate great things happening at Carson Middle School. Our Carson Middle School students will be Learning Today and Leading Tomorrow. We will be on a steady quest for excellence.
Everytime I think of saving a few bucks by putting my kids in government schools, I read a story like this and come to my senses.
When I say I was polite, I mean I did not call her a cow. LOL.
