I believe in the law of parsimony. Ususally, the simplest answer is the best one. And in this case I believe the fossil record, big bang, etc... In terms of how we came to be here, it is the simplest answer as opposed to creation theory or ET's swooping down upon Earth. Our minds cannot comprehend our own galaxy, let alone our universe. The process of evolution took millions of years to get us where we are now. It is unfathomable, but that does not mean it did not happen. So I think we come up with ways for it all to make sense.

Should there be similar stickers for plate tectonics or black holes?

If a state legislature decides to put such stickers on their books, do the courts have any business second-guessing them?
