"According to the document, Oswald subject was trained by this agency,
under cover of the Office of Naval Intelligence, for Soviet assignments.
In 1957, Oswald allegedly was active in aerial reconnaissance of mainland
China and maintained a security clearance up to the confidential' level.
That set my bogosometer to jangling.
It's inconceivable that the CIA or the ONI would train anybody for operational work without at least a Top Secret clearance, just for openers. 11 posted on 04/28/2005 12:36:54 AM MDT by dsc
If he was an agency stringer,If Oswald was a "stringer",
he would not need anything higher
than a confidential clearance.
he could have been used as a pigeon or dupe.
I agree in principle, but 2 factors cloud any conclusion on my part: 1. The negligent autopsy (if that word may even be applicable here), 2. The dichotomy of 2 shots with the same projectile and very different wounds and ballistics.
