I could really go for a Foster's Lager.

1~Some men drank no wine or beer and served as a comparison group
2~Some men drank 13 ounces of red wine daily
3~Some men drank 13 ounces of red wine with the alcohol removed to see if the alcohol accounted for any blood pressure effect
4~Some men drank 38 ounces of beer daily (just over three beers)
Can I volunteer for category 2 and 4..? Simultaneously?

Well duh. They needed a study for this? By it's very nature alcohol thins the blood causing the heart to work harder to circulate it.
Coming up next. Water is wet!
In the meantime lets all raise our blood pressure with an ice cold Guinness!

If they both raise your blood pressure, I think that I am about to have a heart attack.

Yeah, but how many of those taps lead to the same keg?

Yeah, but how many of those taps lead to the same keg?Fortunately, at this place, they all differ. Lush/Connoisseur that I am, I've tried them all, and I can vouch that they are what they claim to be. And ain't a one of them "Miller Light, bottle". I'll never understand that. It's like going to a fabulous steak restaurant and ordering a plate of gristle with extra salt. But at least with this being a beer place, I don't have to listen to "I'll take a Chateau de Poopy Panties, 1987 if you have it, but 1989 if it make you happier" or some such thing. It helps my blood pressure not to have to hear that.

Very interesting.
Myself, I avoid the whole beer/wine fiasco by drinking Bloody Marys instead.

For a really healthy heart you need five minutes of thick blood then five minute of thin blood. Then let the heart rest for five minutes and repeat.

Case Studies were only done with a few drinks, these numbers would multiply for heavier drinkers, I'm sure.

Whenever my BP gets too high, I fix that as well as my cholesterol count by going on a five (5) day fast, consuming nothing but water and raw apple juice.

Whenever my BP gets too high, I go on a two week regimen of heavy drinking, coupled with a diligent program of not checking my Blood Pressure.

The study used 24 men divided into 4 groups...so only 6 in each group. What kind of useful results can be obtained from such small samples?

"What kind of useful results can be obtained from such small samples?"
The ones that the testers and/or their sponsors wanted.
