This is what Peter Jennings career has come to.
How pathetic.
But then again, I'm more optimistic about seeing a UFO then I am ever getting a social security check.

It used to be a given in the news media that reputable reporters did NOT cover UFOs. Ever. Says a lot, doesn't it?

The Art Bell of the alphabet nets lol. If one answers the fundamental question of why the vast majority of ufo's are seen at night, the subject becomes moot

I watched the program last night. I was surprised to see that Jennings took the Official Government Line, ridiculing those who claim to have experience with aliens space craft and parroting the official debunking lines it was a star, the planet Venus, reflected light, weather balloon
Is he now supporting our federal government?

Well, as far as we can see...this is what our universe is like. Now understand that we can't see any farther than the big bang, so the picture you see is only but a small part of the entire universe. Also note that we reside in one of an infinite number of universe...
Now if you look at one tiny white spot in this picture it, then magnify the view. You will see something like this. Each dot on the first image is one of the views in this picture. This picture is the area nearest us.
Of course, each little tiny dot in the second picture is an entire COLLECTION of galaxy Groups. Here is our nearest group....
Now each dot on this view is a group of close galaxies. Look at the closest groups near us. Here...
Of course we live in the Milky Way galaxy. So lets zoom in closer to it...
See the other galaxies near us? Well, we still had bet zoom in even closer. Here...
Now each little tiny dot is an entire super cluster of stars. Lets go even closer to the region near us.
Wow. We still can't make out the stars. Because each little dot is an entire grouping of stars. Wow. Let's get closer.
There! Much better now! At least we can out some stars. See our sun? It is in the middle............
Now we can see the stars closest to us. Let's zoom in even closer.
Whoops! All we can see is our solar system. Let's zoom in some more.
Much better! Now we can see the orbits of some of the most outermost planets. Let's zoom in closer...
And again, still can't make anything out. Let's zoom in more...
Great! Now we can see the inner planets of our solar system. Maybe we can make out Earth...OR can we? Let's zoom in closer!
Fantastic! See that little tiny black dot on the white curved line? That is our Earth. It is made artifically larger so that you can see it!
Now you can see the orbit of the moon. Still lets get closer.
Finally! The Earth.
There sure is alot of stuff out there. You really think that we are the only planet with life?
