One out of every seven to eight people in America claims to have seen a UFO?

Sorry, this sounds preposterous and I simply don't buy it.

It is clear enough to me that

the government has 'back-engineered' and been taught how to build UFO's--as my relative said--by the ET's.

. . .

that I've accepted such as virtually solid fact. I no longer doubt it at all.

I strongly suspect that it's true that some of our stealth/advanced fighters etc. have dual propulsion systems--conventional and anti-grav. I've almost accepted THAT as solid fact.

But there's plenty of smoke and mirrors and disinformation. We shall eventually see what's been hidden amidst all the noise.

THX.

What's your take on such?

Brave--or fool hardy--of you.

You are probably quite fortunate it was a water tower.

Criteris and definitions get into that and it's a mess. Who knows what that reality is.

But the Harris poll of likely abductees is much more sobering. That was a well structured survey. And it really is likely that more than 3,000,000 Americans [not counting other countries] have been abducted.

Add that with bits of puzzle pieces from those who've had jobs from which to make some estimates . . . and it's a very sobering statistical finding.

Lets say out of 10,000 UFO episodes...9,999 are fairly disproven without alot of effort. And lets say that there are a fair handful of episodes that can't be disproven. And along the way, lets say that government involvement was implcated in some fashion...all just in a estimation...then I will give Peter his moment. I've seen enough government, FBI, CIA, and political lies...and wouldn't have much doubt that they retain something related to a visitation...if only wreckage from a non-earth satellite. Lets put the facts on the table and actually see what shows up. Surely we have nothing to lose, and the government has nothing to lose.

9,999 OUT OF 10,000 IS NOT QUITE ACCURATE by a significant margin. But I don't remember the better, more accurate stats. Perhaps Dave or someone else does.

There are a LOT more solid 'other' craft than that seen at fairly close range to very close range.

I'm from Pluto. We Plutonians get no respect, but those sleazy Martians get all the attention. They've had many movies made featuring them, from War of the Worlds to Mars Attacks!, but can you name one Sci-Fi movie about Pluto? All we had was to get a cartoon dog named after our planet.

Wasn't it the udder way 'round?

So you must be one of those Republican Plutocrats that Hillary's been warning everyone about.

I saw some UFOs in Vietnam until someone pointed out that they were just F4s whose pilots had forgotten to turn off their nose wheel taxi light after takeoff. When the nose wheel retracted, the light shown straight down at the ground. Those "UFOs" also attracted a lot of unwanted anti-aircraft attention over Laos and North Vietnam. Why are they shooting at me?

It is the height of strawman debate to state that those of us who don’t believe aliens have flown ships through our atmosphere believe that intelligent life doesn’t exist anywhere else in the universe.

How do you explain the 40 million people and mountainloads of photographic evidence?

It proves only that you typed a statement asserting that you believe you saw something you could not identify.

Uh, no. I do not believe I "saw something you could not identify" any more than you believe you got up this morning and went to work. I know I saw a craft. End of story.

No, there is plenty of proof. You just refuse to admit it.

Obviously you went to the Phillip Klass School of UFOlogy, where the motto is: "If I have not seen one, they don't exist."

Everyone got their popcorn ready and their baseball caps lined with Reynolds Aluminum Foil (no other brand works as hard at screening out the mind control rays) at their sides for the big show tonight?

The Keyword list here is really growing. Pretty cool. The more, the merrier, I say. Finally, all the Charles Nelson Reilly fans on FR have a keyword to check out!!!

Well put.

Though some of those who have worked with government technologies to project visual images into brains might argue with you.

I don't believe it's one or the other in terms of the over all phenomena. I believe both phenomena are out there.
