Another case of not teaching the "3 R's" instead of multi-culturalism.

When I was in Korea back in '88-'89 we'd get batches of pen pal letters and cards from school kids, usually around Christmas or a holiday. It was most likely just random that he got this particular batch of letters. Sometimes when you're 8,000 miles from home even a letter from a stranger is better than nothing at all. In this case it's not.

Vouchers are one solution to the Garbage Dumps many Public Schools have become. I would go one further - Reduce the portion of Property Taxes going to Public Schools by the Voucher User in the amount of the Voucher. That would hasten the strangulation of the worst schools and drive efforts at reform and efficiency. It would also remove the financial support of those Taxpayers who choose another alternative and thereby relieve the PSS of the costs of radicalizing their children.

Makes you wonder what our servicemen might want to focus their energy on when they get back home. I think they need to look squarely at what the 'greatest generation' has let slide (my parents included, sadly). I think I'd want to visit that school, in uniform.

One of the girls in the class has a father who works with the soldier's dad. The father of the girl asked his co-worker if his daughter's class could write to his son. Some of the kids, including this little girl, wrote very nice letters, but the majority were full of rhetoric. The information can be found here: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1348479/posts.

Some of us have been calling and emailing the school, the chancellor, and the superintendents. contact information is at the post linked above.

I'm ready for all voucher/only voucher. Can you imagine how much earthmoving equipment you'd see at churches, digging foundations for classrooms, if it happened?

When the Ward Churchill crap was hitting the fan, a FReeper suggested that we all quit giving the guy a forum by drawing attention to him. Well, Churchill and this moronic "teacher" already have forums in which to brainwash. We need to shine a light on these cockroaches and expose them for what they are.

I love it when the liberals and Democrats do it themselves.
They spew what they honestly believe feeling that because they asre so self-rightous it will fly and then they scurry like rats for cover when it blows up in their face. Already Americans are having their fill of this nonsense and measures to take back our schools (vouchers, home schooling) are surging. The same with public universities.
It will be no one elses' fault but their own.

They over reached in grand fashion on gun control in the 90's. It cost them the house and the senate. The American public is getting very fed up with this sh!t. I can't wait to see the carnage perpetrated at the polls in 2006. If you think they are shrill now...

what's interesting is these kids act like they know so much about what the military is doing. If I were the soldier on the DMZ (been there ,done that) I'd write the kids back and it would read as follows:

Billy,
thanks for your letter of support. I bet you can't even find North Korea on a map you little moron. Tell your mom to stop sleeping with the mailman and your dad to start paying child support so you can afford a real education.

sincerley,

Private Ryan

A boy accused soldiers of "destroying holy places like mosques."

Oh no! Mosques are off limits, even if only terrorists are in a mosque we cannot destroy it. That would be cruel.

Since I have done the same thing myself, I will refrain from making any rude jokes. Besides, I am sure others will step in and do so anyway ;)

If the parents of these kids let the 'teachers' indoctrinate their children like this, they are the ones to blame. Of course, it's possible the parents agree with this horse crap.

As a teacher of sixth graders myself, I am outraged by this teacher's actions. He exploited his students and he was perfectly willing to destroy the morale of a young soldier to make his own anti-war views known. What a coward he is. He needs to make his own voice heard, not use the voices of children to do his dirty work. If I were a parent of a child in his classroom, I would pull them out of his room.

You don't get fired for this. Now, if the teacher had forced the kids to identify possible differences b/w men and women, well then his head would roll.
