DRAT! Drat...drat...drat! DRAT! I can't see the Barney cam. When I click on it, all I get is a bunch of crazy questions such as, "Would you care to make a boolean statement?" Well...um, "No!"
I know it was on Fox this morning, which, of course, I missed. Any body know if they'll repeat it?
Oh, and by the way, TNT will have the W.H. decorations on at 8 p.m. EST tonight.
Did you all hear Jenna has applied to teach at a school in Wash. DC? When Wendell Golder came on this AM he said something like, "We have some news on Jenna Bush" and I immediately thought, "oh no, I hope they didn't get in trouble again!"
I'm sure Geroge and Laura will be glad to have her close. No word on Barbara's plans.
I wish I could say I wrote it, but I didn't....it was on my son's program at the going away ceremony when he was activated....his unit stood down and he is now an MP....my hubby has been home from Iraq since April.....as for Maj Duckworth...I'll ping you to a prayer thread so you can read about her....check the end of the thread for todays update.
There's a sentence about Jenna and teaching in DC in the daily summary atop the thread. The WH didn't confirm or deny it, however. So I just posted what the WP wrote.
It took a long time to load on my dial-up and the picture was something of a kaleidoscope quality (seriously), but I got the drift. The comments people have made on this thread helped me decipher what I couldn't quite see. It was cute.
Glad you're feeling better . . . I think you passed on whatever you had to me . . . I'm headed to bed shortly but nice to see the pictures.
Hi snugs--that is a cute pictures. How's your dad? Hopefully feeling better.
Yes, she does love reading to kids! I bet she's really happy Jenna is taking after her in teaching, and that she'll be close by.
At the "tail end" hehe of the Barney video, there is a "Special Thanks" to Dale Haney -- he's the man who was so often in the daily photos with Barney, the horticulturist, I think. He and Barney must spend a lot of time together out and about.
Sean is playing it on his show tonight....Fox played it earlier today..that's where I saw it.
I missed it--sorry! Guess I went right for the pictures. :-)
To all: Mrs. Bush said in the video that Miss Beazley won't be arriving at the White House till JANUARY.
Thanks! I'll just take some more medicine and sleep it off.
I heard Ms. B. won't be getting there till Jan--did you see Laura was holding Barney AND Willie in the last scene? I don't think I've ever seen Willie in "real life" before.
That seems to be the trend.
Too bad about the grandparents losing last night on TAR, wasn't it? I felt sorry for them. They tried so hard! They were on one of the morning shows today, said they spent more than 2 hrs. looking around that church for their clue. They have a great attitude tho, one more of the couples should have. It was pretty painful watching them, to me anyway.
How's the writing? Comments to you soon, I promise!
It was a matter of time for them, they just couldn't keep up...it's a young persons game...did you see Jonathan hit/shove Victoria...he's such a slime...
Oh, BLESS your heart.
It's going wonderfully.
I had Mike read the first four chapters and he loved it, had excellent suggestions on what to paint more fully, offered that he is eager to know what's going to happen to the people, and wants to read more. Now THAT'S good news.
I eagerly anticipate your feedback.
One thing Mike said is he wants to know more about Rory's "banishment" and the two men who bring Jack and Rory out of hiding. (I don't know if that last part, about the two men, was included in the draft I sent you.)
I tend to write too skeletally because of the training I've had to edit to the bone. Then I always get feedback to beef it up, give more detail -- just like you and Morgan wrote. So I'm starting to believe the feedback: that folks really do want to know more, not less. ;-)
Cody told me about that. I can't believe they let him stay on after that!
Have you ever seen the movie, "The Straight Story" with Richard Farnsworth? I have it and rewatched it last night and thought of you and your family the whole time. It's set in Iowa and Wisconsin. I'll tell you more if you haven't seen it.
