Ok...so taking those numbers Bush starts with 136k lead. Currently has 4k lead with the counted PBs so his lead is around 140k right now. 88k PBs left. If all go to Kerry and we know they won't but worse case scenario Bush wins Ohio by 52k votes. Most likely scenario I would guess is that Bush wins by at least 100k+ votes once all the PBs are counted and that will be the certified vote total.

Thanks, I will post a county wrap up tonight(probabily 60 counties or so). Additionally my estimate last night of 16,500 valid provisionals in Cuyahoga county was close, it was actually 16,373. http://www.cleveland.com/news/plaindealer/index.ssf?/base/cuyahoga/1101205815101550.xml

Off the top of my head regarding the remainder of votes, I agree with the others that Bush's lead will remain +100,000 votes when certified on Dec 6th. If I had to guess on an exact amount I would put Bush at +125,000 votes when certified.

Isn't Cuyahoga Kerry's best county? I read there were fewer than 25,000 PB's there, and now that 1/3 of them are invalid we are talking only about 17K.

Of Ohio's 88 counties, Cuyahoga had the most provisional ballots.

Cuyahoga County, which includes Cleveland, counted 16,373 of 24,472, or 68 percent, of the provisional ballots cast.

I don't know what the final tally is, but I heard they were not breaking for Kerry by as large a margin as some predicted.

Not quite what the demo's expected is it?

Heck: Not quite what I expected either!

Do we know how many prov. ballots have been counted, vice the total (136,000 some odd) that were received?

See, if 50% of the 136,000 total ballots have been counted, then only 32,000 some-odd of the 68,000 provisionals counted so far were "valid".

This would imply a 50% FRAUD rate among provisionals! Each "BAD" provisional ballot was submitted "wrongly" (not necessarily fraudulently of course = people do make honest mistakes) roughly half the time.

Obviously, submitting 136,000 false provisional ballots, in the hope of getting just 538 "extra" democrat ballots that somehow DO PASS after the election would have ensured Gore's election in FL in 2000.
