Just heard Martin Frost concede the election to Republican Pete Sessions! With 21% of precincts reporting, he trailed Sessions 57% - 43%.
To his credit, Frost's speech was brief, and gentlemanly.

Now if we can get rid of Chet Edwards but that doesn't look likely. He has gone from leading by 3,900 votes to over 6,000.

I think we're up by 1 right now. We lost Illinois as expected but we picked up Zell Miller's seat in Georgia and DeMint also won.

It was his lying ads about Wohlgemuth "putting on a 23% sales tax on everything you buy" that convinced the hicks to vote for this phony conservative who votes with Ted Kennedy most of the time.

Don't you worry about Texas!
We're going to put this state back on the straight and narrow!
We got our Congressional delegation back.
Right now Wohlgemuth and Edwards are tied at 49% - all.

"...frost was one of the least objectionable"What in the WORLD are you talking about?
"Least objectionable" maybe if you live in Hawaii or something, but as a part of the Texas delegation, he was as obnoxious as the devil himself - who do you think was orchestrating Dim efforts opposed to proper redistricting here? We had a 55% GOP electorate, but a 57% Dimocratic Congressional delegation!

There are a lot of other reasons why Edwards has a good chance of winning.
- He is an Aggie although as of right now he is slightly behind in Brazos County.
- He runs as a pro-military, pro-Bush, pro-WOT Democrat (Zell Miller Type)
- All the seniors see him as the kind of Democrat they voted for back when Southern Democrats were actually conservative.
- The local media has been whoring for Edwards for ages. Not a night goes by without some pro-Edwards story.
- Texas A&M's administration and faculty have been big Edwards supporters. Not only because they're more liberal than Berkley but because he brings hundreds of millions to TAMU in the name of "homeland security"
- District 17 contains Robertson County which was the only county outside of West & South Texas (and two in East Texas) to go for Al Gore in 2000.
- When did Edwards run most of his radio commercials? During Rush and Hannity.
