Announcing the Third Annual Fresno Tailgate and Rally - September 10 and 11, 2004
Fresno/Central Valley Chapter ^ | Aug 26, 2004 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 08/26/2004 11:20:06 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

The Fresno/Central Valley Chapter cordially invites one and all to our third annual Fresno Tailgate and Rally on Friday and Saturday, September 10th and 11th, 2004.

Our rally will begin at 5:00 pm and end at 7:00 pm Friday night, at the corner of Blackstone and Shaw in Fresno. Afterwards, the group will retire for dinner, refreshments and fine company at a nearby restaurant.

Our tailgate pot-luck picnic will be at Woodward Park on Saturday, September 11th. We've reserved the "Gazebo" area for the full day. We'll probably start arriving about 2:00 pm and will dine and party till dark.

The entrance to Woodward Park is on Audubon Drive, just off Freeway 41 on the northern edge of Fresno. The Gazebo area is near the center of the park (see park map).

Bring your flags, banners, signs, family and children. Prepare to support your country and enjoy the company of your good FReeper friends!

Last year's thread: Tailgate Thread

Please RSVP by FReepmail to JustAmy or Mama_Bear

Thank you,

Jim Robinson
On behalf of the Fresno/Central Valley Chapter

The Tiggywinkle Family will be at the picnic, Lord willing. :o) I can bring a couple salads to go along with the tri-tip. Is there going to be a tip jar to help *pay* for that tri-tip? Seems like such a large expen$e for the folks bringing it.

Free Republic pays for the tri-tip but jkphoto has the responsibility of the BBQ.

We did not ask for donations to cover expenses last year but we may this year. I need to see what is left in the kitty.

Also, FR supplies plates, utensils, etc.

I will get a list of those attending so we can start planning for salads, drinks, cookies, ice, etc.

While it's wonderful that FR pays for the tri-tip, I'd like donate anyway. So...set up a donation box, ok? :o)

Gotta get busy...I'll visit w/in the next few days.

We hope to see you on the 11th.

Of course, we always need ice. I will get a list of attendees soon and get a salad list ready. Will there be three total?

Hope you will be able to join our rallies on the 3rd and the 10th.

Hi, Patriciaruth.

It is great that you will be able to join us for awhile.

I think the best 2 hours to be there would be at Woodward Park on the 11th between 3:30 and 5:30.

We will try to eat between 3:30 and 4:00.

We are looking forward to seeing you again.

Wow. I never did see that thread you were supposed to write about the whole trip. Did you ever write it?

No, dern it I haven't had a chance. And two new Chapters to FR! Leggett Valley and Santa Cruz Outback. LOL

I'll probably post it to the West Coast FR Tour thread and I will ping you when I post it.

Shoot, I have two other events to post...An ANSWER hate rally in SF, and a Viva La Raza Rally in the Crack Park in Santa Rosa on Memorial Day...heh.

love that table! Something like that would look perfect in my family room. Hmmmm.........maybe I should ask Santa. ;-)

Well Lori as you can see, that one is sold. Sorry.

But the good news is that...I saved $.57 on my Insurance through Gekko! LOL

Actually I know the guy that carved that and I saw him a couple of weeks ago. So If you want one I am sure he will carve another one for you...Even a Polar Bear if you prefer...

Oh, here is a picture of the Artist. You should see the view from his back porch!

Before I look into getting one of those tables I want to get a custom made Dr. Zoo sculpture from WorldFamousArt.com. I've had my heart set on the Gutter Snipe for ages. :-) Please don't tell me he's not for sale.

Greetings, all!

Sorry I've been so incommunicado for so long. What with a new job (board op for KMPH NewsRadio afternoons), a new radio show ("Right of Way," Sundays noon to two PM on KIRV 1510AM www.radicalrabbioftheright.com ), ministerial responsibilities (I'm now the Student Rabbi of Beit Tefillah, a new Messianic Fellowship in Fresno), finishing up my rabbinical degree (due to be completed by February and granted at the Messianic Bureau International's www.messianic.com annual conference in March), and some Republican Liberty Caucus and Republican Central Committee work... I've just been WAY, WAY busy!

Anyway, please put me down as attending, along with my Producer, Felix Sanchez. Put his nick down as "El Gato".

See y'all next Saturday (maybe tonight after work at the chapter meeting as well)!

Adam

You are the Chapter President for Fresno, aren't you?

Dr. Zoo expressed a desire to bring some of his sculptures and have a MiniArt display at the picnic.

Do you think you can bring it to a vote?

The guttersnipe would make an appearance...

I brought some to the FR Get-A-Way Cabin in Corralitos.

Hopefully you can make it next time, here is the road.

:>)

SheRob wants the DuckBilled Flatfootapus. I'd ping her but she refused to sign up. Afraid of getting banned if she doesn't have enough "nice attacks". LOL

LOL

That is the road to Fido's house...back in 1916.

A couple of weeks ago Fido was supervizing a crew putting new rain gutters on the cabin.

And two years ago or so I took him to the beach. He dug such a deep hole I could hardly get him out after it collapzed on him!

Yes, I am that. :-)

Dr. Zoo expressed a desire to bring some of his sculptures and have a MiniArt display at the picnic. Do you think you can bring it to a vote?

I could, but I won't. As head of the FResno Central Valley Chapter, I will make an executive decision to request, no...require, that Dr. Zoo provide us with a MiniArt distplay at our picnic.....and I won't take no for an answer. :-)

The guttersnipe would make an appearance...

Grate! Up close and personal with the guttersnipe. I have long admired the guttersnipe. I am sooooo looking forward to it.

BTW, it was discussed at dinner this evening, if Dr. Zoo requires over-night accommodations, Saundra Duffy says he should contact her. :-)

After you wrote and asked about a Chapter meeting we decided to have one after the rally last night, but since I didn't have your address I couldn't include you in the e-mail that I sent out about it. I should have freepmailed you. Anyway, I will add your address to the Chapter list and you will recieve word of any future Chapter doin's. :-)
