Normally I can put up with the weekend Fox & Friends crew, but like you I turned them off this morning after their incessant gloom and doom. It was like watching CNN.

I don't expect cheerleading, but these folks were talking like we're getting our butts kicked from the Kurdish north to Basra. And that's not so.

ROME -- Premier Silvio Berlusconi made an unannounced visit to Iraq early Saturday to meet with Italian troops based in the southern city of Nasiriyah, his office said.

Unannounced is wise. Especially since al-Qaeda has a 'plan', it appears ...

Huh ? What in the world is this?

I might just have to visit Florence one of these days . .

Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi stands in front of a row of Italian troops serving in southern Iraq, April 10, 2004. Berlusconi told troops their nation was proud of them when he made a surprise Easter visit to their base. Italian troops were engaged in pitched street battles with Shi'ite militiamen earlier this week after guerrillas loyal to a radical anti-American cleric took control of several key bridges over the Euphrates river in the centre of Nassiriya.

Bush should visit our troops in Iraq soon. It's not too dangerous for him to make a quick unannounced visit for a couple of hours. The message that would send to our troops, the American people, and our enemy would be very positive.

I was thinking the same thing. It would be very important and would mean alot for the troop morale.
