It's not the waffling and vacillating in American foreign policy in the war on terrorism as our deluded foreign policy wonks at the State Department attempt to "keep the region 'stable'", whatever that means.

A rational analysis of the situation would IMO indicate that the only thing it can mean is tht the goal is to maintain the current instability.

BTW, if that is the plan, it seems to be working like a charm.

My heart and prayers go out to all innocents murdered by Muslim terrorists. What I cannot, not will I ever, understand how any American Jew in their right mind can even think about voting Democrat. I guess they all have a death wish. Congressman Jerrod Nadler (Democrat-NY) is quoted in the Israeli press saying that if any other country had suffered the terror attacks and murders of innocent citizens the way Israel has, they would be carpet bombing the enemy. However, Mr Nadler's party has done nothing but appease and accomodate the "terrorists". And, I can assure you Bin Laden & Company are praying every day for a Democrat victory! When that happens it will be open season on both Jews and Americans. If I were Mr. Nadler, I would be switching political parties right now! Fortunately GW Bush will win, with or without American Jewish support! If John Kerry, etc. gains the Presidency, I would suggest that American Jews best prepare themselves for fates such as that occurred to innocent, American Jewish reporter Daniel Pearl. Osama Bin Laden must be holding his sides laughing as the American Jews vote for their own self-inflicted death march! What a bunch of morons! This is one American Jew that is voting for GW Bush and sees the world as it really is!

FOX NEWS crawler is saying the Bus exploded outside a hotel where U.S. Jewish leaders were holding a confertence.

Maybe now some of these US Jewish "leaders" will start to get a clue about what Israel is facing, and stop criticizing the IDF, stop thinking that the PLO is a legitimate partner in the peace process, and stop thinking that "shalom" means "peace at any price."

Slow budding anger with Sharon, resignation that he has folded along with shock. The backlash will collapse the government sooner than later. The next government will be voted in on a hard line platform.

People are tired of trying to domesticate jackals. The moderates want to wall them off, the rest of the people are ready to drive them out. The few liberals that are left are tolerated poorly.

People yell at cars with peace now stickers on them. But the Jews are such pacifists they will try till the cows come home to make peace with the Arabs, and then they will have a barbecue.

I saw on the news that they almost took my advice in # 191 in this thread. They took the bus and deposited it on the Palestinian side of the wall. It's a start, but not nearly as effective as what I'd suggested, although it'll possibly provoke less "outrage" from the rest of the world.

Even so, I won't be surprised if there is great wailing and gnashing of teeth from the euroweenies about how the sight of that bus might "traumatize" the Palestinian children, and "intimidate" the adults, and that placing it there "sends the wrong message", and will "only perpetuate the cycle", blah blah blah.

To my way of thinking, if they're gonna take the heat anyway, they might as well just... well, you get the picture. :)

It's hard to read what ordinary people on the streets are thinking and feeling in the midst of this, when the mainstream media and is constantly conveying that "life just quickly returns to 'normal'" after every one of these bus bombings—which anyone with an ounce of objectivity knows is baloney.

You're on the ground there. Debriefings like this help with grasping the big picture.
