I heard something on meet the depressed that is interesting. Howie Dean is supposed to give a major foreign policy speech Monday. I can only wonder how juicy it would be if Sadaam were to caught two days from now, rather than yesterday. It would probably take until March for him to get his foot out of his mouth.
Many thanks to the soldiers got him. EEEEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAA!

I've been thru alot of crap in my life, but it all pales in comparison to either of them as President. That is truly a nightmare scenario.

FNC keeps showing one set of people demonstrating waving red banners and a Soviet flag. Great, that's all we need, Communists in postwar Iraq.

"It'll be interesting to hear the DemonRats spin this!!"
The libs are already commenting that Saddam couldn't possibly have been supervising the attacks in Iraq, due to his appearance, thus deemphasizing his capture. Like he stayed in that spiderhole 24 hours a day. These people can't find good in anything, at least not when it happens under a Republican Administration.
To: Moose4
we've got 9 of them running for the US presidency.

Hussein went down, he thinks hes friends sold him out and let him hang, so he's going to bring them all down with him.

Get in line. Besides being a hottie, he tells it like it is, doesn't mince his words and has my enduring respect for being so forthright in his comments.

I just explained to my oldest son that all those people dancing in the street were celebrating their total freedom. This is something that he may be very lucky to see once in his life.

The motivation would be: quick, or slow and painful.
That would be some positive motivation for me...

What a horse-faced @ss.
Kerry said "HE" always wanted to do it right.
To: Maigrey
but we don't have that option. Iraq itself does not even have a death penalty.
I hate to say it, we may have to make this guy some deal that involves no death penalty if we really need to get substantive information from him.
To: visualops
If either one of them were to be President, it's time to move out to the plains of Nebraska in a home with no TV, radio, or electricity.

I just heard Jim Angle of Fox News quote somebody about the identification of Saddam by "distinguishing marks & characteristics." I wonder how Bill Clinton feels seeing as he was identified in just about the same words by Paula Jones.

He can shack up with OJ until the decorators are done with his new place. That's a plan! They could play golf together...and have knife fights...Saddam with his Saladin sword! What a cut-up that would be!

Right now Fox News is showing Iraqi's waving the American flag I saw snow in that pic - I'm guessing it was Dearborn, Michigan. Sadly, I haven't seen an American flag in Iraq for some time, not even at the pro-Coalition rallies. Maybe they'll break some out today!

"Fidel castro?"
At least Castro's hair matches his beard. Notice that Saddam has managed to keep his hair color black? It should be gray and black like his beard, but it isn't. That tells me that this guy hasn't been all that cooped up, but has at least been able to get his hair cut and colored. I wonder what his fingernails look like.

NBC reporting President was notified about 15 hours ago about this. That doesn't square with my timeframe, but I'm too excited to rea lly compute.

"I don't think the Iraqi people will be truly free as long as Saddam is alive. But I also think the Iraqis will take care of that ASAP."
I agree that the Iraqis should be the ones to try him and execute him, but the coalition forces should be in charge of him until that process is over. There are too many individuals in Iraq who would be willing to take a bribe to help him escape. He needs to remain in our hands until his death.
