No one distrusts the modern day turks more than I do but your photos are dated 1922. Attaturk came to power after that.

Those pictures are historical fact. If he can't stomach the atrocities committed by Ataturk, he shouldn't be praising him.

Atrocities like that should not be censored. Crimes like that should not be forgotten.

WAR!! WAR!!!

WHAT F#CKING WAR WAS THAT!

200,000 women and children dragged out into the street and beaten to death is WAR?

Slaughtering every man, woman, and child, leveling an entire city just because it wasn't Turkish enough is WAR???!

Unbelievable.

>> Turkification and Islamification of Asia Minor

Hell, we'd been there for over 800 years! What bunk!

Find material on what happened to the Turks in the areas you mention after the forces of Greece and France entered but before they were reclaimed by us. Revenge at the hands of those who returned may have caused some of those deaths. Revenge. I would most probably have succumbed to the urge myself.

I didn't know killing hundreds of thousands of Greeks and Armenians

I do not know when Attaturk came to power but the Armenian genocide, perpetrated by the turks started in 1915 and ended in 1922. The turks murdered 1.5 million DISARMED Armenians. Firearms prohibition is a precondition to genocide:

We, the Royal Government, the Hellenic Nation and I personally share the national mourning of our friend and ally Turkey. Greece has decided to show its deepest sympathy to this noble and friendly nation in their most difficult time. While remembering the Great Chief, the brave soldier and the creator of Turkey in respect, Greece will never forget the fact that President Kemal Atatürk has been the founder of Turkish-Greek peace and cooperation. Greece will always keep the meaningful memory of the Great Deliverer that changed the fate of the noble Turkish Nation.

General Metaksas, Prime Minister of Greece, 1938

Are you saying that you were better informed than was this humble Greek?

Internet propaganda.

The war crmes tribunal was held on Malta by the British, and 300,000 Armenians were mentioned then. That number magically grew since then. If they want a piece of me, here I am, and I'll fight tooth and nail for every inch of my country.

The genocide industry brings Armenia about 2 billion dollars a year.

http://www.armenian-genocide.org/genocidefaq.htm#What

How many people died in the Armenian Genocide? It is estimated that one and a half million Armenians perished between 1915 and 1923. There were an estimated two million Armenians living in the Ottoman Empire on the eve of W.W.I. Well over a million were deported in 1915. Hundreds of thousands were butchered outright. Many others died of starvation, exhaustion, and epidemics which ravaged the concentration camps. Among the Armenians living along the periphery of the Ottoman Empire many at first escaped the fate of their countrymen in the central provinces of Turkey. Tens of thousands in the east fled to the Russian border to lead a precarious existence as refugees. The majority of the Armenians in Constantinople, the capital city, were spared deportation. In 1918, however, the Young Turk regime took the war into the Caucasus, where approximately 1,800,000 Armenians lived under Russian dominion. Ottoman forces advancing through East Armenia and Azerbaijan here too engaged in systematic massacres. The expulsions and massacres carried by the Nationalist Turks between 1920 and 1922 added tens of thousands of more victims. By 1923 the entire landmass of Asia Minor and historic West Armenia had been expunged of its Armenian population. The destruction of the Armenian communities in this part of the world was total.

Hopefully, we can agree that firearms prohibition is a precondition to genocide.

Respectfully yours,

Brady

You may think what you want. If McArthur and Churchill, and the Greeks of the time spoke fondly of him, then that's worth a lot more to me than anything any of you impressionables can serve up.

I'm sorry that you feel this way. This is a wound that can not heal as long as there are those such as a_turk who insist on rubbing salt in it.
