Well, I for one vote to keep the daily threads. Having way too many Terri threads at once was attracting trolls and I think it was annoying the mods. I think a daily thread with all the news put into it rather than a new thread is the way to go.

Do you have links to the FR threads of those two articles? The originals rarely stay good and I want us to be able to access this information later. I am working on the new thread at the moment and perhaps those links have already been posted, but I haven't seen them yet.

After reading the article I'm inclined to agree with you. What do you suppose was on the tape, inquirering minds want to know?

I think the situation is awful enought without those kinds of accusations. Remeber, he has been in a relationship with someone else for alomost the entire duration of Terri's ordeal

Oooops, should have warned everyone to not read the Felos article if they've recently eaten!!! Sorry.
I only referenced this particular article in case someone might have thought Felos was not going to write a book about Terri's case. This was from 2001 and he had it planned even back then...

good find! would be lol if a life wasn't at stake.
"We're comfortable that Dr. Wolfson did nothing inappropriate that day," said Tracy Sheehan, one of the lawyers representing him. . .Santos' story is nothing but "a fabrication" -- yet this occurred at a faculty meeting, and dept chairman James Studnicki agrees w/Santos.
"The Provost Office has asked three professors to decide whether faculty rules were broken."
wonder why was wolfson suggested; what's he been like since 1994?

Attorney Richard Pearse was appointed (1998), and he issued a report to Judge Bruce Boyer. . . Pearse said Michael Schiavo was not a credible witness to his wife's end-of-life wishes. . .also noted that Michael Schiavo would benefit financially from her death and be able to move on with his life. . .After the report was issued, Felos attacked it and Pearse, and asked that Pearse be removed. Boyer complied.
I remember reading a slightly different account in which Pearse asked either to be given more authority to look out for Terri's best interests or to be dismissed as Terri's GAL. Does anyone else remember that?

After the report was issued, Felos attacked it and Pearse, and asked that Pearse be removed. Boyer complied. Thank you, but I find only that ONE original source - chicago tribune, that says it was BOYER who appointed (and more importantly FIRED) the GAL attorney Pearse.
I can also find sources that say it was probate judge Patrick Caddell who appointed Pearse.
But there seem to be a much greater number of sources that say it was Greer that fired Pearse on or about Jan 26, 2000.
This one in the St. Petersburg Times says:
"The trial will resume today, but Greer will not make a decision immediately." ... and ...
"Felos will argue today that Pearse is biased and should not have been appointed because he personally is opposed to feeding tubes being removed."
That article, Parents Say Daughter Understands, also includes a nice photo of Terri before her, ahh, err, 'accident', and another photo of the Golliath-sized Michael towering over his female attorney: Constance Felos.
To: cyn
You are quoting one (and only one) original news source that
says BOYER had GAL Pearse removed. That source was
Chicago Tribune. Most other sources say Greer had Pearse removed.
