[[[and the GOP provided the perfect Designated Loser for each of the sham elections of 2008 and 2012.]]]

And they were going for three with Jeb until Trump came along in 2016.

Yeb! was supposed to be the Designated Loser for 2016.
Thank God Trump stepped up.
Jebbifer Rubin will never get over it.

He completely misses that Obama had the media completely on his side.

He completely misses that Obama got millions of votes because he was black.

He completely misses that Google was all in for Obama in 2012, and is likely all in for the Democrat in 2020.

He is missing the most important parts of the election.

Odumbo was a placeholder, and nothing more. ValJar was the one holding the circus monkey’s leash. Nothing happened, unless Valerie Jarret said so.

Don’t forget that Obama sounds almost just like Osama. There are a lot of people who think that electing a Muslim would make the terrorists like us.

He’s right about Trump crushing the Dems in key battleground states and about the Dems ignoring or taking for granted the white ethnic vote in those states.

“Yet more than a decade later, it’s an open question as to whether either major party has learned anything from Obama’s success.”

Obummer’s commie/mohammedan record was buried by journolistas, he had hundreds of millions of dollars of free advertising by the networks and newspapers and social media sites, he had probably 110% black turnout, he had a large turnout of dimwitted whites who voted for him so they could “feel good” about themselves, and he had a Republican opponent who spent practically every waking minute actively trying to throw the election.

It may have been tough for even a Donald Trump to have beat the Kenyan Fraud in 2008, but Trump could have pummeled him in 2012.

Look at Obama’s competition....old & short & pudgy McCain whom had turned off lots of republic base. By the time Romney got the nod, Obama had incumbency advantage and a cowardly Romney in debates.

Obama got in because GWB decided to declare war on the world and ignored what American Voters wanted.
They were willing to give him 4 years to fix it but NOT 8 years with no plan to ever end it.

I remember in 2006, I was in a bar listening to a older guy debate someone who was doing a far better job of defending GWB that Bush ever did.

I knew then the GOP was doomed in 2008

John McCain took a dive in 2008 and didn’t even want to beat Obama. His lifeless campaign had to be hoisted by conservatives to the finish line.

He hated having Sarah Palin as his running mate and hated support from conservatives.

He sabotaged his own candidacy.

Deliberately.

One of the most important things in politics today is an active email to a voter who will not only vote for the candidate, but has a higher chance of donating real money than just someone who is on the voter rolls with the right letter after their name.

Trump has been having rallies, dozens of them (73 as of today) since becoming President. And these rallies have been jammed to capacity. There has not been one where people didn’t flock to see him by the thousands.

Every single person who attended one of those 73 rallies is significant in three ways:

1.) They registered for the event with a real name and an email in most cases in order to get a ticket.

2.) They will, with very few exceptions, vote for Trump.

3.) Every one of them, who cared enough to drive to an event and wait in line, will likely be willing to donate to a campaign.

Those three things are significant. Think of what the Left has like this...nothing. Any candidate they field is going to face an uphill battle.

I don’t buy the “both sides” are making mistakes. Trump is doing a remarkable task of getting resources in order for both votes and money for 2020, and the Left has no idea what to do on their side. If they have an event and a candidate draws 100-500 people, that is standard for them.

They have good reason on the Left to be anxious, because they are going to lose their minds if Trump wins again.

Excellent analysis and great points. Thank you,

Yes, they’ll go more berzerk than ever before when he wins.

Plus he conveniently had the Iraq War to get out of to appease the peaceniks. We should have kept that victory.

“And they were going for three with Jeb until Trump came along in 2016.”

and Jeb would have been the biggest electoral vote loser of them all if he had been the designated loser for 2016 ...

4.) and the excitement from attending rallies carries over into conversations with friends, families and co-workers

5.) said excitement also results in yard signs and other volunteer activities

In other words, in all five cases, voters, donors, and campaign workers are easily ATTRACTED to come TO the campaign by the tens of thousands.

OTOH, the leftists Dem candidates will spend large amounts of time, energy, and money on marginally successful conventional methods that essentially amount to begging to accomplish those same five goals ...

The Left’s plans for us are obvious for anyone wishing to know them. As to the “moderates”, there is no such thing. The “moderates” are those whose sympathies and votes are with the Left, but do not have the courage to publicly admit it. So, when asked, they reply.”I don’t know” but they know.
