ADDISON — Texas Sen. Ted Cruz said Thursday that cities should not get rid of Confederate statues and monuments in order to "sanitize history."
"I don't think we should go through and simply try to erase from history prior chapters, even if they were wrong," Cruz said during a news conference. "But I think that's a decision each community has to make. ... I suspect different communities will approach this decision differently."
President Donald Trump said Thursday that he was disappointed with the removal of Confederate monuments, saying on Twitter that the nation's cities were losing some of their beauty.....

I think it’s a city by city decision as well. It should not be decided by mobs. It should not be decided in DC. It should not be decided in statehouses.
I’ll be honest, I had no idea there were multiple Roger Taney statues. That was one where I said, “Um...why?!?!?!” If I had a vote, those would be gone.
As for the rest, eh, probably not.
I will say this: Having the only people defend them being Richard Spencer and his goons, guarantees that ALL of them will be gone by Christmas.
