When I was in my youth we would go to the voting polls and fill out a ballot... when those ballots were counted, if our side held a majority we would get politicians who pushed forth our desires that motivated us to vote for them. Those were the days!!!

Now, when the electorate stands for a political position the politicians say, "How quaint, then go off and do whatever they want to do - the electorate be d@mned... Their highly paid educators and their highly paid media whores work endlessly to convince the electorate that they are wrong. And apparently these mercenaries succeed a good deal of the time.
