The Democrat giving the response to President Trumps congressional address Tuesday seemed to have forgotten what party he was representing when he inexplicably called himself a Republican during his address. Im a proud Democrat, but first and foremost, Im a proud Republican, and Democrat, and mostly, American, former Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear said via telecast from a diner in his home state.
It was not clear why Beshear called himself a proud Republican, but the small group of supporters surrounding him did not seem to balk as he flip-flopped affiliations.

What a fool.
Who thought a diner was a good idea ?
“And man ... I’m stoned!”
Who thought Jeb Clampett should give the response.
Just admitting that the Uniparty does exist.
I watched just a little bit of that old geezer and thought "if the studio had a power failure, his life support would fail".
The people of Kentucky are lucky to have Matt Bevin as governor and not this befuddled old fart.
I heard him on NPR this morning. He called Obamacare a great success in my commonwealth (Kentucky). That is like someone saying their new credit card was a success because within a couple of months they maxed it out.
Meanwhile, he thinks he was such a success. Here is his legacy:
Governorship goes republican. First time in decades.
The state houses went republican for the first time in almost 100 years, and BOTH are super-majorites.
Different people define success different ways, I guess. :-)
Bevin is turning out to be our own “Local Trump” but with better manners. It’s truly amazing what is happening to Kentucky at both the state and federal levels.
I like Beshear. He was a do nothing governor and he left the state in Republican control for the first time since The Flood.
Someone gave him the wrong envelope.
You folks in Kentucky are blessed to have a man iike him.Look what we have to deal with here in Ohio,a sore loser with attitude.
Which Flood was that ?
I was quite surprised they used an “old white guy” for their rebuttal. I am sure someone at the DNC wrote his speech, and he just had to read it. My take on using him and the “diner” was that they were trying to connect with the “working-class, rural Americans” that all went for Trump in the election. It was a pathetic attempt, IMHO.
I listened to the old guy for about one minute. He was babbling so incoherently that he sounded like someone they found roaming the halls at a nursing home.
‘I’m a Democrat. I’m a Republican. I don’t have any idea what I am doing here, but I was governor of Kentucky, I think.’
I demand to know why this guy wasn’t made the head of the dnc!!!
Steve Beshear proved himself worthy of the praise of his fellow democrats. And he further distanced himself from Kentuckians. Watch the KY GoP response to Beshear.

Seriously? Look up "Noah's Ark".
This is what happens when you have no moral structures. You flop around trying to please whomever you think is listening. The democrats are truly lost. They have nothing but hate and anger to guide them.
