President Barack Obama defended his vision of America on David Axelrod's The Axe Files podcast, claiming he is confident "that if I had run again and articulated [this vision], I think I could've mobilized a majority of the American people to rally behind it."
The interview was the latest in Obama's post-election and pre-exit analysis, and he told his former senior adviser that despite Donald Trump winning, "what I would argue is, is that the culture actually did shift, that the majority does buy into the notion of a one America that is tolerant and diverse and open and full of energy and dynamism." Obama instead blamed the Democrats for ignoring swaths of the voting population: "If you think you're winning, then you have a tendency, just like in sports, maybe to play it safer," he said of Hillary Clinton's defeat. Listening to Obama during this twilight of his administration, he comes across as a man less upset with Trump for rolling up his sleeves and winning as he is profoundly disgusted with the Clintons, the DNC, Podesta, DWS, and the rest of them for their corruption, arrogance and hubris in running a disastrous campaign that will ensure everything he worked for this past eight years will have been for naught.
Trump wouldn’t have shied away from all the scandals 0bama has committed.

Trump ran against Obama’s policies and won. He stated all along that the harridan would be an Obama third term.
Whatever his motive it’s kind of an interesting question. I don’t know who would’ve won. I will say this, so strong is his narcissism that he will toy with the Idea of running again as there is some debate whether someone could sit out a cycle and go for third term. VERY unlikely yes, but with his ego he will at least think about it.

Someone on a radio talk show said , why does Obama need a vacation ...he will be on a permanent vacation in mere weeks.
