BREAKING – Cruz Plans To Steal California by Having Trump Fail to Prep Groundgame (#Sarcasm)

BOOM EXCLUSIVE WOW BOMBSHELL OUTRAGEOUS CHEATING STEALING!!!

Donald Trump inexplicably waited until YESTERDAY to name a State Political Director in California.

The California primary on June 7 could determine whether Trump reaches the magic 1237 majority delegate number prior to the July convention. By all reports, Cruz is far ahead in the ground game in California, which awards delegates not only on the statewide vote but also by congressional district.

Even if Trump wins the state, he may underperform in enough congressional districts due to Cruz’s superior campaign preparation that Trump is stopped short. Or he may fail to file delegate slates in all districts.

Erick Erickson reports:

Ted Cruz has been laying ground [work] in California for a year. Donald Trump? His campaign is just starting and they have a deadline on May 7th. Literally Donald Trump just hired his California political director yesterday.

That deadline? The candidates in California get to submit delegates from each congressional district. If a candidate wins a congressional district, his delegates get to vote. It took Cruz more than 5 months to find delegates in all of California’s congressional districts. Cruz found 169 delegates and 169 alternates, which is a complete slate of delegates and alternates. Trump is just starting and the deadline to turn in his list is May 7th.

* * *

"Clearly Cruz is stealing California by having Trump wait this long to hire state Pol Director."

I would not be unhappy to see Trump get the nomination, See We are going to have a great candidate and we're going to crush Hillary in the election!. But I'd be happier if Cruz gets it, so I am posting a satirical article to point up Ted's better organization, which illustrates the kind of planning and attention to detail that will pay off in the general election.

However, I am disturbed by many on this forum who claim to be Trump supporters, but whose posts make them seem more like Soros-paid disrupters. Color me skeptical that they really are Trump supporters and not DNC sockpuppets. There probably are also some supposed Cruz supporters of the same type. It's a great tactic for the DNC: “Let's you and him fight.” Maybe they can make Republicans so mad at each other they'll destroy the party -- and forget about defeating Old Lady Clinton.

I agree.

I’ve read that Trump has spent quite a bit on marketing, and particularly internet marketing (perhaps he should have spent more on ground operations, but whatever).

If so, maybe that is why we get so many of these die hard Trumpkins that deny logic, are immune to facts, and fail to see ANY of Trumps negatives.

Very good & rational post. I agree with it 100%. Unfortunately, it will have ZERO effect on restoring rationality — I tried your “reasonable” approach last fall & winter and got nowhere. Maybe the rest of the FREEPERS will join you in Sanityville sometime after July. Unfortunately, many may not.

A year?

That explains it, Cruz staged stunts in the Senate preparing a run for President. What a con man.

Cruz is a great schemer. He has the entire Bush team that has orchestrated 4 presidential elections. He is taking GOPe delegates that were pre-slated for jeb! from last summer. This game is routine for them. It explains how he “won” Maine when three other candidates were polling ahead of him.

It’ unethical to applaud voterless and marginal victories where the total Cruz winning votes of 5-6 states is less than the population of our local high school. This style of ‘ground organization’ is grossly unrepresentative.

Here is the best visual of Cruz collecting delegates I have seen this far.

Ground game = parliamentary gaming to avoid the verdict of a vote.

Cruz’s only utility is to block Trump.

The minute Trump is neutralized, the GOPe will gut Cruz like a squealing rabbit.

Well, NOOB, think of how much you could have helped Trump’s campaign by volunteering to help get his ground game organized instead of posting your steady stream of snarky anti-Cruz posts. Of course, Trump may be personally content with what you are doing and perhaps your mother would not let you out of the basement long enough to help organize a groundgame.

Are you Cruz supporters content with the system that is in place? Both (Dem & Repub). Do you think the system reflects the will of the voters?

Politics ain’t beanbag.

-- Tis never been more true. Writer Finley Peter Dunne used it as a quote in 1895 from his fictional character Mr. Dooley, an Irishman who pontificated on the day’s issues from a Chicago pub. “Sure, politics ain’t bean-bag,” Dooley proclaimed. “Tis a man’s game, an’ women, childer, cripples an’ prohybitionists’d do well to keep out iv it.”

Yours is a very depressing post.

It means we must steel ourselves for a barrage of whines from Trump and a fleet of excuses from his supporters.

That would seem to confirm my suspicion that some posters are mere disruptors.

“Well, NOOB”

Just like Cruz/GOPe is driving new Trump voters away, posters like you want to drive new members to FreeRepublic away. You should grow up...it’s petty, it’s spiteful and it’s not in anyone’s best interest.

Hasn’t Donald Trump learned YET that he must KNOW the rules?

Can’t Donald AT LEAST pick handlers who tell him these things?
