Trump: I 'very much agree' with Sanders on trade
The Hill's Ballot Box Blog ^ | February 7, 2016 | Bradford Richardson

Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump on Sunday said he and Democratic primary candidate Bernie Sanders "very much agree" on trade.

"Well it's very interesting that you say that, because the one thing we very much agree on is trade," Trump said on CNN's "State of the Union." "We both agree that we're getting ripped off by China, by Japan, by Mexico, by everybody we do business with."

Asked how he would differentiate himself with the Vermont senator to New Hampshire independents who may be torn, the billionaire businessman said he will actually be able to do something to correct trade imbalances.

"The difference is, I can do something about it. I'm going to renegotiate those trade deals and make them good - and, believe me, they're going to be really good," he said.

"Bernie can't do anything about it, because it's not his thing," he added. "He won't be able to do anything about it. I'll create absolute gold out of those deals, whereas right now we're losing tens of billions and even hundreds of billions of dollars."

"I will create gold, and Bernie will just talk about how bad they are."

So only hundred millionaires (Romney) or billionaires (Trump) should be allowed to run for office?

Don’t try to be cute. You support a voter intimidation and fraud. ATrump’s life is an open book, Cruz’s - not so much. He had to seal some records - that’s just how honest he is. Obama 2.0

They also agree on getting rid of illegal immigrant workers that take jobs and depress wages for Americans, although they obviously have different strategies for going about achieving it.

“WHO, out of ANY of these candidates have NEGOTIATED .... ANYTHING????”

All of them have. Trump has never negotiated with a legislature. All the governors have. Trump has bought politicians in a legislature before, but he has never had to negotiate with them. It is tougher when you are not backed by Daddy’s money and the Big Government “friends” you own.

Politics is ALL about negotiating. That is the lifeblood of politics. And in politics, unlike business, you cannot fire the other guy. Try bullying a foreign country, and it might blow up in your face the way it does not in business.

He’s on his third wife, having cheated on his previous ones... Cruz is married to his first wife. Trump bribed public officials, tried to steal a house from a widow, dodged the draft, is mobbed up, etc., etc.

Working for Robert Zoellick in Washington and then later at Goldman Sachs, Heidi Cruz wrote the book on “free trade” (the current government policy of “Obamatrade,” best embodied in TPP)

I am reminded of the Gatlin song "All the Gold", when I think of Strump.

Trying to be a hero, winding up a zero

Can scar a man forever, right down to your soul

Living on the spot light, can kill a man out right

Cause everything that glitters is not gold

Strump is fools gold.

Yeah he negotiates people out of their property by abusing eminent domain and having the state confiscate property and give to private entities. Most of what he does though is tell suckers what they want to hear.

“All the governors have”

They’re all corrupt, part of the political system that has ‘rigged’ the game against us, and you want to continue peddling and rewarding these good for nothing politicians.

Trump has also said they agree but not for the same reasons and not the same result, he said before that Bernie is just anti-trade.

”No specifics, no real policy positions, just an appeal to the idea that somehow, mysteriously, he is going to do something and it’s ”going to be GOOD!”.”

Trumps reputation as a self-made multi-billionaire speaks for itself imo.

But more importantly, he is not afraid to fire incompetent people. So I look forward to him at least cleaning up the executive branch, including the military.

He has also said part of deal making is not just being able to make good deals- because sometimes things go wrong or situations change. He has said it also means the ability to turn a bad deal good, or salvage something going south. He knows it isn’t going to be all magically good, you have to create the situations and the path for winning outcomes. A lot of folks just have no idea how brilliant he is, because he doesn’t appear sophisticated or the dreaded ‘nuanced’. The best thing for me, is he does what he says he’s going to do. He laid out the criteria for his presidential run over 20 years ago, and he kept his word.
