Rubio endorsements: Another senator, Pat Toomey, signs on
Hot Air ^ | FEBRUARY 3, 2016 | ALLAHPUNDIT

Not as important as Tim Scott’s support since Toomey’s not from an early state, but still significant big-picture. This isn’t just a case of Cruz losing out to Rubio on another endorsement among his Senate colleagues, it’s a litmus test of electability — or perceived electability. Why might a Republican from a purple state, whose seat is up this year by the way, prefer Rubio to Cruz or Trump? Hmmm:

Doesn't matter, because he ain't gonna beat either one.

I tend to doubt that. I think right now that neither Cruz nor Trump could beat Jimmy Carter. The bad blood leaves a very bad taste in the mouths of voters. Voters vote their own self interest. They also want someone they "like". Rubio is probably the most "likeable" candidate in the race. Trump is undoubtedly the most hated candidate in the race (with 70% negatives) and Cruz is close behind.

I wanted to like Trump and Cruz, but the people on this forum have convinced me that they are both evil wicked mean and nasty.

ROTFLMAO. I know you didn’t mean to be funny but your post had me falling on the floor laughing literally. Not sure why that was so good.

It’s beginning to look like this so-called “revolt of the angry conservative base” is evaporating and will soon be gone.

The Ruling Class is the Ruling Class for a reason.

I don’t think he is nearly as qualified as some of the other candidates

I don’t know much about Rubio at all except for gang of 8......however besides that. I think he ran the entire Florida House and made the entire House Republican (basically), but I don’t know much more then that.

that is one thing that we need to know is what has Rubio done.....it is impressive to know soon rather then later.

Romney was a plaid candidate that people liked.

Unfortunately they liked Obama more.

Rubio is a plaid candidate that everyone likes.

Hillary is a witch and Sanders is an idiot. I don’t think the electorate will “like” either of them.

Cruz should never have responded to the Trump attacks by going on offense. He should have stuck to his message. He still won Iowa, but in light of the cheating accusations and all the other crap, I think he may be done. Trump demanding a new election because he didn’t win makes him very unattractive in my eyes and, I think, in the eyes of a lot of voters.

It’s a three way race right now. At this point, barring any huge unforced errors, I think Rubio has it in the bag.

Yeah, so vote for Marco Amnesty and watch our country go down the drain. Tell you what. If Rubio is the candidate, i’ll vote for Hillary. May as well get it over with.

“Sad but true. That is how Romney prevailed. Newt & Rick never gave up.”

I agree. If Cruz doesn’t win New Hampshire, he should get out immediately and go back to the Senate and endorse Trump. He can try again in 2024 or 2032.

“The feud between Trump and Cruz is taking both of them down. Rubio is standing on the sidelines just watching his opponents destroy each other.”

Best endorsement of Rubio over these two braying jackasses I’ve herd yet. Squish or not, he sure is playing these guys. maybe he’s getting advice, but this is aa smart campaign and if it is someone elses idea, he’s smart enough to listen. Those two ego nutbags haven’t seen their equals since ... well ... huh, I’ll have to think on that one. Perot?

Well Rubio is going to have to win without my help.

Well, I won't be contributing to his campaign as I am not at all excited about him. But if he gets the establishment nod, he'll have all the money he needs.

FWIW, I think Donald Duck could beat Hillary or Sanders.

“Romney was a plaid candidate that people liked.”

Romney didn’t have the personality that Rubio has. Romney is better personality then Cruz but that is not saying much.

We need Trump.

It is wonderful to see you tonight.

Nobody said anything about voting for Rubio in the general.

You do know that we are on state number 2.

The voters will decide who the nominee is. That is how it works. I just hope they chose Trump.

Many won’t vote for Cruz.....Many won’t vote for Trump......Many won’t vote for Rubio. Nothing new.

Considering these same people voted for Obama twice, I do not share your optimism.

Yeah, so vote for Marco Amnesty

Read between the lines. They are all for amnesty in one form or another.

No matter who we elect, we are going to get amnesty. Somewhere down the line.

Reagan gave us Amnesty. 5 million. He set the precedent. Nobody is going to deport the 11 million (probably more like 20 million) and Donald Trump's wall is just a pie in the sky promise. He is proposing the GWB amnesty program. He's out in the open about it and everyone seems to ignore what he says.

So vote for whoever you want. Amnesty is coming. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon, and for the rest of your life.
