Guess what, Rand. More and more potential voters are realizing that Trump is anything but a clown.

Barack Obama, Al Gore, John Kerry, Ron Paul, John McCain, Lindsay Graham and you, Rand, all ran for President and were taken seriously. And you’re calling Donald Trump a clown?
After supporting McTurtle in his re-election I knew he was done and just as nutty as his old man, but it was his speech declaring his run for president that capped it for me. Rand Paul is a whack-job.
I guess if you have a Party run by clowns another clown should fit right in.

In 2004 Edwards garnered ~20% of the democrat primary votes, and Kerry/Edwards came relatively close to winning the Presidency. Edwards came in third in the primaries in 2008, despite the first stories about his extramarital affair being made public in late 2007. The bottom line is that we haven’t been dealing with the ‘best of the best’ in politics for a long, long time - if ever. For one from within that group to try to dismiss someone from outside the usual group as a ‘clown’ is just not credible.
