Donald Trump Says He'll Spend 'What It Takes' To Win
The Huffington Post's Entertainment ^ | July 17, 2015 | Scott Conroy

LACONIA, N.H. -- How much is of his personal fortune is Donald Trump willing to drop on his 2016 presidential campaign? Whatever it takes to come out on top, he told The Huffington Post on Thursday.

“You saw my statement yesterday, so it’s pretty irrelevant,” Trump said, alluding to a press release in which his campaign placed his net worth in excess of $10 billion. “I’ll do what I have to do.”

Trump has already contributed at least $1.8 million of his own money to his nascent White House bid, which he launched last month, but that may be only the beginning.

Asked during a brief interview in the picturesque New Hampshire Lakes Region whether he might eventually spend up to $1 billion trying to win the presidency, Trump didn't dismiss the idea out of hand.

“It depends on what it takes,” he said.

Trump spoke during an interview at the small private airport here as he waited to call in to "The O’Reilly Factor" on The Fox News Channel after headlining an evening rally that drew several hundred people. He noted that he has risen to the top of most recent polls of Republican candidates and said he's gaining even more steam, as he feeds off his big crowds.

“I do see the enthusiasm,” he said. “I mean, forget it, right? The driver said, ‘I’ve never seen that before, and I’ve been in New Hampshire for 25 years.’ So it’s very nice to see the receptivity. People are tired of being ripped off.”(continued)

You are a real smart alec as Jim Robinson certainly knows what Miller’s real handle was. This site is not what it was. Anyone who is in their mid 60”s or older and recalls their parents talking about Reagan knows they did not think he was much of an actor. He was a great President who rebuilt the military that Carter tore apart.

FR etiquette: IF you mention someone, you ping them.
And you need to back up your claim.

You either back up your claim, namely: “Someone had a Captain from CCN MACVSOG kicked off this site. Possibly you or a friend did as he would not back down to you or your gang.” by providing the handle of the supposedly banned person, or we get to call BS on you.
And if it turns out that the person was banned for cause, you have to apologize.
Simple, no mess, no fuss, and your accusations either get proven or disproven.
Can you handle that?
You spent an awful lot of time trolling people and blustering, here’s your chance to prove what you said and accused correct.

That would do it. He could easily say he’s a lesbian trapped in a man’s body.

I wonder if his wife decorated his office. Good job, if so.

Ted’s just a cool guy.

Trump’s political Contributions:

Democrats 52%
Republicans 48%
Note that Trump does a lot of business in blue states.

Do I trust Trump? Nope, but neither do I trust any other professional politicians. Only 2 people I ever trusted 100% were my parents.

So right now it is all about priorities and getting things done. If we do not stop/reduce flow of poorly educated, criminal illegals as soon as possible, you can kiss this country good bye. After 20 more years of this trend, we will look exactly like Mexico in lifestyles.

I think senator Cruz is the most reliable among the other 15 professional politicians running in 2016. But even he was told by his rich donors to push for Obamatrade, which will be bigger job killer than NAFTA, because big business wants Obamatrade.

Can Trump be trusted to really build a wall and close the borders? Compared to other professional politicians, I have more trust in an ultra rich businessman like Trump. He has no sugar daddy’s yanking on his chain to import more cheap labor.

If I was near age 70 and had $10,000,000,000.00 net worth, I would push the same agenda as Trump..
Next 100 generations of Trumps can inherit $100 Million each! That is a lot of money! He can’t be only after more money, unless he is insane.

Trump has been UP and Trump has been DOWN. Fact is he has probably had more complex experience than anyone now running or planning to run for President. Here is a long meaty detailed article from 1990 in Fortune when he ran into difficulties for reasons ranging from overoptimism to economic problems in Japan, New York, and Massachusetts. He had already shown his ability to make money, now he had to show how to avoid loosing it all.

http://archive.fortune.com/magazines/fortune/fortune_archive/1990/08/13/73899/index.htm

Now an update on bankruptcies: http://www.vanityfair.com/news/2015/06/donald-trump-companies-bankruptcy-atlantic-city

One article I read pointed out that all the Atlantic City casinos/hotels could have done a lot better if they had paid more attention to upgrading the overall economy and look of AC instead of totally neglecting it for short range benefit of their bottom lines. This more recent information regarding Trump’s success has a decidedly liberal slant, which doesn’t necessarily mean it is wrong. Judge for yourself.

http://www.alternet.org/story/156234/exposing_how_donald_trump_really_made_his_fortune%3A_inheritance_from_dad_and_the_government’s_protection_mostly_did_the_trick

This link does a good job of outlining Trump’s recovery from his 1990 challenges up to 2002 successes. http://www.encyclopedia.com/topic/Donald_Trump.aspx

Finally a word about Trump’s NET WORTH. He has declared that it is $10 billion. Other reputable sources are suggesting closer to $4 billion. Still plenty rich and far more than Hillary’s $20 million or Walker’s $75,000. Here is a link touching on net worth and including other links to the Trump wealth story.

“I’ll bet you $5 that there are Trump/Cruz 2016 signs and posters already printed and sitting in a warehouse somewhere in New Jersey.”

In ‘real life’ I don’t talk politics all that much. Mostly just with friends who are well informed and who like to follow world events.

But lately I hear people who I’ve never heard talk politics before bring up Trump. They don’t know who Ted Cruz is and they couldn’t pick him out of a crowd but they sure do know Trump. And they like Trump a lot. Cruz is no fool if he has an arrangement with Donald Trump.

Why would Cruz leave the Senate to become VP for anyone?

Trump is no Reagan...

Tell me, other than being tough on immigration (at least talking tough), what other issues does Trump run on as a Conservative?

Because VPs go on to be president on a regular basis? Because Trump is nearly 70? Because the VP is the president of the Senate? Because the VP heads the National Security Council? Because a VP has a nice mansion, too? Because VPs get to do diplomacy?

Hey 2nd,

No, I don’t think Cruz would accept the VP spot. I just don’t see him playing 2nd fiddle...neither Trump.

That was my question.

PS - I know you aren’t Rove...I meant that post for someone else.
