TPA, TAA, TPP, TED CRUZ, JEFF SESSIONS AND YOU

STOP FIGHTING AGAINST PATRIOTS.

TPA, TAA, TPP, TED CRUZ, JEFF SESSIONS AND YOU

There is a lot of confusion about these acronyms; about what Jeff Sessions believed and what Ted Cruz voted for. But I hope you are able to see when I finish, why we should be careful in fighting our own about every thing we hear. Sometimes they will even differ in their understanding. I was ignorant about it up until a week or two ago, when I looked into the matter carefully.

First of all not one person up there understands more about international rulings and how they could affect US law. Here is why. Ted Cruz does. Cruz not only gave oral arguments in a most famous Heller case where he defended the 2nd amendment before the Supreme Court and won. There was a case that could be just as important. He fought the Medelin v Texas case as he explains in this video. It is the DEFINITIVE CASE against the UNITED NATIONS, The BUSH administration and the World Court in the Supreme Court of the USA and won. That ruling against all the above agreed with him, that no ruling or litigation of any international body changes or alters US law. They have no authority whatsoever in the USA. So he above all up in Washington, knows what he is saying. Now let’s look at the real issue....

Obviously you don’t work with him. I have internal contacts within Breitbart that tell of the hectic environment that it has created.

Check for yourself. Matthew is completely unhinged in his reporting. If you don’t take his own side on an issue you get labeled to be like Paul Ryan (as was the case with Ted Cruz), accused of “lying” etc.

It isn’t just me who has noticed it. As I cited, James Taranto independently came to the same conclusion.

My internal contacts at Breitbart tell me he favors Rand Paul. In looking at his articles pertaining to “Obamatrade” TPA or TPP, he consistently portrays Rand Paul in a look light while demonizing Ted Cruz for voting for TPA.

If you agree with Matthew, you are golden. If you disagree with Matthew on trade, you are worse than pond scum.

You can believe what you choose to believe. Matthew Boyle on trade is a muckraker and yellow journalist.

Still demonizing loved ones? How low can you go?

FICTION: “Essentially, Cruz’s wife Heidi once worked for Merrill Lynch and is a Goldman Sachs Regional Manager, which is a little concerning, given, you know, the massive bailouts and their involvement with the Federal Reserve in deflating our currency and killing our economy.”

FACT: Heidi Cruz is a wealth manager in the Houston office helping families and foundations and is not connected with the company’s Washington operations. She has always been located in Houston while employed at Goldman Sachs. And, the division Heidi worked in was not connected to the portion of the bank that received bailout money. Her division would not have been affected even if Goldman had not received the bailout!

Heidi has taken a leave of absence from her work to focus full-time on the campaign with her husband. Sen. Cruz unequivocally opposes bailouts that reward big banks and corporations at the expense of American taxpayers.

There has also been some rumblings regarding Heidi supposedly working for the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR). Heidi never “worked” for the CFR, but she was a “term member” of the CFR (one of 4,500 members, I might add). She is NO LONGER involved with CFR but she did participate in a Task Force on the topic of free trade under the Bush administration. However, as a member of this task force, she vigorously defended and called for free-market principles.

“Economic prosperity and a world safe from terrorism and other security threats are no doubt inextricably linked. While governments play an invaluable role in both regards, we must emphasize the imperative that economic investment be led and perpetuated by the private sector. There is no force proven like the market for aligning incentives, sourcing capital, and producing results like financial markets and profit-making businesses.” (Emphasis added).
Lest anyone question where Sen Cruz stands on CFR, his record has been UNEQUIVOCAL that he believes CFR has been a pernicious force trying to undermine U.S. sovereignty – something Sen. Cruz has spent years fighting to defend. Indeed, Sen. Cruz has a proven record of fighting to defend U.S. sovereignty.

Utter nonsense.

No matter how many times you throw Obamacare into the discussion, the trade bill is NOT Obamacare.

To suggest it is shows complete lunacy.

“We’ve been doing fast track trade agreements since Franklin Roosevelt was the president. Are you old enough to remember that administration, because I’m not. President Eisenhower was in his last year when I was born. You?”

Dear 2ndDivisionVet, and anyone else here.
I don’t want to argue.
I genuinely believe we all want the best for our country to survive and really thrive for eons to come.

To answer this latest post directed to me, detailed above:
Yes, I do know the country has used fast track trade agreements for the last 80 years.
I was born just two years after you.
It is a blessing and a curse.
Age, aches, pains and regrets do not trouble me anywhere as much as the fact that this country has never been so recklessly run as it is now.
Our current leader’s terrible decisions, behavior and lack of principle would appall Ike and I dare say, FDR.
Twenty plus years have passed since NAFTA and WTO major agreements.
I contend that our country has been hollowed out in millions of jobs and tens of thousands of manufacturers, due mainly to NAFTA and shipping of jobs to China, and other countries.
It has ruined us.

I truly do Not trust anyone currently in DC to ensure our middle class interests are of primary concern, as the senate crafts secret nuanced 800+ page trade agreements over the course of six years and now try to ram pass it.

These are different times than during Ike and FDR’S era.
As we’ve painfully learned, free trade is a far more complicated matter now and has irreversible adverse long term consequences to our country
that deserves full disclosure, discussion and consideration by the citizens who have to live with its consequences.

*last thing if I may -
Reagan warned us about the danger of eating our own and fighting among fellow conservatives.
So I’ll turn down anti-Cruz rhetoric that may alienate some of our FR community.

Let’s brainstorm about what we can constructively do next as Obola and TPP supporters (Paul Ryan?) regroup to pass TPP. I can call, write, donate, and will March if that will help.

If by VP you mean regional manager, then yes, she was until recently. I once worked at Ameriquest because my wife & children had become addicted to food and indoor living. Does that mean all the things that Ameriquest did are on my shoulders or that I was trying to support my family?

Thank you, 2ndDivisionVet.

I'm a service-connected disabled military veteran myself and former VA whistleblower that has basically been made unemployable by the libtards in America due to blacklisting.

My anger against the Obamanation is now focused on me being my own boss. I will never work for the 'man' again.

In my earlier posts when I joined up, I mentioned I am in graduate school now to gain new skills, but between writing papers, I enjoy communicating with fellow Freepers.

I'm about ready to get into some serious higher learning soon, so my rants and raves will become more limited in due course.

Peace.

No matter how many times you throw Obamacare into the discussion, the trade bill is NOT Obamacare.
Where have I said the trade bill WAS Obamacare? I'm talking about the bait and switch that happened.

Okay, smart guy...what was the original bill in which Obamacare was proposed?

H.R.3590
1 . Service Members Home Ownership Tax Act of 2009 (Introduced in House - IH)
2 . Service Members Home Ownership Tax Act of 2009 (Engrossed in House [Passed House] - EH)
3 . Service Members Home Ownership Tax Act of 2009 (Placed on Calendar Senate - PCS)
4 . Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (Amendment in Senate - AS)
5 . Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (Public Print - PP)
6 . Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (Engrossed Amendment Senate - EAS)
7 . Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (Enrolled Bill [Final as Passed Both House and Senate] - ENR)

Oh, look! It transmogrified in the Senate...just like the trade authority did!

See reply 70...Note: This measure was the Ensuring Tax Exempt Organizations the Right to Appeal Act, then it became the vehicle in the Senate for trade promotion authority.

Is she a closet Rand Paul fan, too?

Inquiring minds would like to know.

Obviously you don’t work with him. I have internal contacts within Breitbart that tell of the hectic environment that it has created.

Neither do you. I have found him to be excellent in his fair reporting of the immigration issue. He has good contacts with CIS and Jeff Sessions. Are you saying that Breitbart is not happy with his reporting?

It isn’t just me who has noticed it. As I cited, James Taranto independently came to the same conclusion.

James Taranto. LOL. I would bet that Matt considers that a compliment coming from the amnesty and guest worker pimps at the WSJ. Matt's reporting on immigration destroys the crap they put out.

My internal contacts at Breitbart tell me he favors Rand Paul. In looking at his articles pertaining to “Obamatrade” TPA or TPP, he consistently portrays Rand Paul in a look light while demonizing Ted Cruz for voting for TPA.

Your contacts are wrong. He doesn't portray Paul in a good light except when he does the right thing, i.e., vote against TPA and TAA. He criticizes Paul on immigration, among other things.

You can believe what you choose to believe. Matthew Boyle on trade is a muckraker and yellow journalist.

No, he is a real journalist who seeks the truth. Matt and Neil Munro, formerly at the Daily Caller, are the only reporters who are providing the facts on immigration and how the American worker is being hurt by it. These trade deals are a disaster for the American worker. Do you think NAFTA was a good deal for the US?

I agree. I still like Ted Cruz but I think he is wrong on this issue. There is nothing so urgent here that it won’t wait until we get a president who actually likes America. If Congress really wants to do something constructive on trade, they should work on identifying and punishing the countries who are cheating on our existing trade agreements.

This was politically stupid for Cruz. Doubling down, and thinking we don’t know what is going on, makes it even more politically stupid.

Or maybe, just maybe, you are the one that is wrong, and not Ted Cruz.

I think I will take the word of a guy that memorized the Constitution at age 13, won 9 Supreme Court cases fighting for conservative causes, has been fighting the GOP-Establishment for his whole Senate career, and standing up for conservative causes when no-one else will over your vaunted opinion.

She was a VP at Goldman until 2012. and her expertise is international trade .
What are you trying to Hide by leaving that out ?
How long has Goldman Sachs been working in this treason with VJ and Obama . Drudge calls it treason. Well its been cooking for Six years . A VP at Goldman get paid for work when finally is pays off years later such as TPP by the way. In her new recent position , Her clients are investors with 45 million portfolio and up.

Who is going to benefit from the Crony capitalism disaster TPP cooked up by Goldman Sachs ?...
Goldman employees and there Big clients ! Its fact and not a attack .Goldman help write the Secret deal. Does Cruz worry worry about the little folks and TPP.
Whose side is Cruz taking here ?Think about it. Once Cruz help get cloture for fast track the cast was set for TPP to pass. All this other disinformation.. its tiring.

Okay, let’s say that really is her Linked-In page and not a bogus one. I was a vice president at Millennium Mortgage. And a senior intelligence analyst. And a district manager of a video & pinball arcade chain back when we had such things. Where are we going with this? Do you resent intelligent, hard-working people who make good in this country? Is it ILLEGAL to work at Goldman Sachs now because they don’t line up with your way of thinking? What do you do for a living?

Why are Cruz folks not concerned about the US middle class class that will be crushed by this deal but freaked out over poor Ted Cruz damaged political ambitions ,

?Read the list of Goldnan Sachs employees below that are Obana staffers .
in the last Seven long years

Goldman is everywhere! Goldman employee is going to make millions and so are there clients .

So whose side is Cruz on again?

Obama and Goldman's vs the US middle class. i.It the reality here.
He has huge credibility issues taking VJ / Obana /Soros side against Regular Americans.

I don’t know whom I’ll support.

Do you at all concur that Harvard is unduly over represented in the halls of policy making and in our democracy and government? Do you concur that a true democracy needs all of society represented and not screened through the lens of certain academic groups or professions? I’m certain that not all Harvard graduates think alike but enough have come to believe they are in a club of the anointed.

Most outrageous of all is how their privilege is diluted and diverted by the claims that we typically hear especially from NE liberals claiming average mid west flyover whites represent “white privilege”.

When it comes to qualifications I see business people and engineers and others having had productive jobs as having better qualifications to elected office, than lawyers who have learned how to spin everything rather than making something.
