Obama is for means testing. Dutchboy88 is for means testing. Thesharkboy thinks that Social Security is unconstitutional, and should be abolished, but no means testing until then. Whose opinion is closer to Obama’s?
Why are you not then advocating for the removal of Social Security altogether instead of protecting the benefits for Bill Gates and Oprah Winfreys and Harry Reids? Why do you want to give more tax dollars to the rich? A true conservative would care for the real needs of people and not some slavish love of a percentage. Open your eyes to a real situation and not just kissing up to your rich uncle.
You can’t accept that I have been paying into the system for over 25 years and, in all likelihood, I will continue to pay into the system for another 20+ years, and that therefore, I am, in fact, entitled to a social security check. I am fully aware of how the system is funded. I don’t care. I have paid my dues. I will have what I am owed. I will not be f***** out of it without a fight and I will not support someone that intends to f*** me out of it which is what raising the retirement age amounts to. They have already raised it repeatedly. My generation is the one being victimized here and I am sick of it. I do not want to be working when I am 70 years old. That is BS. So if Cruz wants to raise the retirement age, he can do it without my support.
