Gay Group Wins Formal Recognition From State Republican Party

By SEEMA MEHTA

The Log Cabin Republicans, a 38-year-old organization that had unsuccessfully sought a charter from the state party several times in the past, received the formal imprimatur on a 861-293 vote at the party’s biannual convention in Sacramento.

Brandon Gesecki, a delegate from Carmel who supported the effort, said the vote showed how much the party in California has changed in recent years.

“It would have been the complete opposite 15 years ago,” said Gesecki, who also turned in a proxy vote from former Lt. Gov. Abel Maldonado supporting the recognition. “The fringe does not control the party anymore. We truly are a big tent once again.”

I sincerely feel sorry for California FReepers. If it's any consolation, remember this:

Queers: "We are the 2.3%".     07/15/2014 192kb.pdf

That survey is getting kinda long in the tooth. If any FReeper knows of a more recent survey, please let me know. Thanks.

“This is the culmination of a 15-year journey for me.”

CA is one of 50 states. There is no way the Republican Party platform will change on the issue of gay stuff.

The Party has become even more and more pro-life since 1984. Republican grassroots know how to fight a platform issue and win.

Even if some homo-miracle took place it would take maybe 2 generations to even make a dent.

Tis just a wet dream, Brandon.

I am convinced kashkari (sp) was a barometer for exactly where the Republican party stands. Not just the California party but nationwide. Liberal on every issue but cutting taxes on business.

When we have RINPs and liberal-tarians pretending to be republicans then one never knows how the party will look.

Now if the GOP and republicans said enough is enough and got rid of these RINOs and liberal-tarians then we can have the republican party as it should and the two other phony republicans groups can take a flying leap

“When will Conservatives get formal recognition from the GOP?”

In Occupied California, never.

In this last campaign for Governor we had a Tea Party candidate running in the primary. Tim Donnelly. He was demonized by the GOP establishment, from Jeb Bush, Karl Rove, Condi Rice to Darrell Issa, Michael Medved, and Hugh Hewitt.

And so who did these GOP weasels choose instead?

Why, Neel Kashkari, a Hindu-American from Wall Street, who by his own admission supports gay marriage, abortion, amnesty, and restrictions on gun ownership. And he voted for Obama.

The GOP establishment at work. Enjoy.

Somehow I'm starting to get the idea that 1/3 of our elected officials are though...

Romans 1:..
22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools.. 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.

26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.

28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. 29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy.

Note also that Romans 1:32 points out that those who approve of such conduct are just as guilty as those who engage in it.

Lev 18:22 “You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination....

25‘For the land has become defiled, therefore I have brought its punishment upon it, so the land has spewed out its inhabitants.”

2% of the population is not fringe? Normal people are the fringe!

This is why the GOP is all but dead.

Those homosexual Republicrats need to take their logs home and shove them into a convenient fireplace.

(Apologies to America’s first negro homosexual president.)

What the heart of the party, the grassroots, does and what the party establishment does are two different things.
