Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker admitted Sunday to changing his views on the vexing issue of immigration. Appearing on Fox News Sunday, the presidential was presented with a 2013 clip in which he told a Wisconsin newspaper that he could envision undocumented workers who pay penalties being offered a pathway to citizenship. Walker said Sunday that he has since changed his mind on what many conservatives deem to be "amnesty."

As a legal immigrant myself, anyone breaking immigration laws should have only path straight back to the country they came from. Then wait in line like I did.

All of the people in the GOP who are pushing amnesty always say that it isn’t amnesty.
If the illegal aliens don’t return home and apply like everybody else who really IS an immigrant, then it is amnesty.
We either have the rule of law or we don’t.
We must elect a President who WILL uphold the rule of law after this one who won’t.

I hope he’s not just saying this because he thinks he has to.

I don’t care why he says it, as long as he doesn’t change it back.

Then wait in line like I did.

And my wife too.

No one should be deprived of the humiliating anal-probing procedures of the INS - and THAT was what they put ME through, an American citizen...

That makes two of us. The only concession I can go along with to illegals is that if they came here immediately after the last blanket amnesty, and have broken not a single any other law, and have paid taxes every year, they be allowed to stay, but they must go at the end of line. The last blanket amnesty during Reagan administration was a magnate for more illegals to flood in.

I think there should be penalties, but frankly, there were far fewer illegal immigrants (from Latin America) before Obama took over and gave 500,000 per year of their legal slots to “immigrants from Muslim lands.” He did this less than a week after his inauguration, and the Muslim quota has come out of the Latin American quota and has been increasing every year.

So I think it’s legal immigration we have to look at and adjust. We don’t need more Muslims.

I should write a book about my experience with the INS, as it was called then, now called ICE (Immigration & Customs Enforcement).

I agree. Those illegal aliens who have been in this country the longest should be the first to be deported. No reason thy they should be above the law. Just because they have not been caught breaking other laws, does not mean they have not broken any.

Also, just because an illegal alien is a crime victim should not be used to give him/her amnesty. Criminals and other bad people can also be victims of crime.

We amnestied 3 million and the laws in that amnesty bil that were supposed to prevent more have never been enforced.
Raegan admitted he’d been snookered and now they want to do it again with 30 million. We must hold the line.
The only way to stop the invasion is to elect a President who will uphold the rule of law.
The last 4 elections have been amnesty candidate D vs amnesty candidate R.
The RNC had already been paid for an amnesty candidate.

Yes. Many talk about making those here now “get in the back of the line” while conveniently ommiting that the “back of the line” is in the other nation, not in this country.

What they are not telling you when they say that is they want to create a new line in this country.
That’s amnesty.
They don’t call it that if they pay a $500 fine before they collect their $34,000 check for back EITC, Child tax credits, etc.

****RED FLAGS ARE WAVING****

Whenever a politician announces a shift in their beliefs, as they run for a higher office, it should be a big red flag to anyone paying attention.

I don’t know, but Walker seems to be a good guy, and he’s on my list of who to support.

He has a large following up in his parts.

And he has cross-party attraction. I think he’s good.

Anything that permits those who entered the country illegally to benefit from that illegal act is amnesty. If we're serious about stopping illegal entries we've got to stop giving prizes for bypassing the legal entry system.
