What America thinks about potential presidential candidates
The Myrtle Beach Examiner ^ | January 8, 2015 | Jesse Broadt

Posted on 01/08/2015 5:29:12 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

Hillary Clinton is still receiving the majority of attention among Democrats with regard to the presidential nominations, despite the fact that her chances of becoming Mrs. President are slim to none. However, Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren is still in the circle of limelight as well, although her chances are only marginally better than those of the former first lady. Republicans, on the other hand have a wide open field that includes candidates new and old alike.

Interesting statistics

Sixty-six percent of registered voters across all political parties believe Republicans should seek a fresh candidate for 2016, while 42 percent of Republican voters think their party’s 2012 candidate, Mitt Romney, should run a second time. Only about 32 percent of Republicans believe Jeb Bush should seek the nomination.

Twenty-eight percent of Republican voters say they would not vote for Bush because they are concerned about political family dynasties in America and his brother and father have already served in the capacity of US president. Some people think both the Bush family and the Clinton family have far too much influence over politics and government. Many Americans feel the same way, and they have no desire for a Bush versus Clinton presidential election.

Half of all voters and 75 percent of Republicans predict a GOP win

Among all voters, Chris Christie, New Jersey's governor, is still the marginal favorite for the GOP nomination, but among Republicans, Scott Walker and Paul Ryan lead the pack. Of course, it is far too soon to rule out big-name potential candidates such as Ben Carson, Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio....

Yes.

Let Bishop RomneyCARE represent the GOP,
and ADMIT that he created RomneyCARE/ObamaCARE/GruberCARE
and that the EXEMPT GOP LOVES it,
and LOVES shoving it down the throat of America.

So far? No viable candidates on the horizon.

How does Bush win the general if 28% of Republicans (myself included) don’t want a monarchy?

I think Ted Cruz wipes the floor in the debates.

I think Ted Cruz wipes the floor in the debates.

It will be the Indy 500 and the Superbowl rolled into one thumping of the RINO candidates.

can you just imagine Diogenes answer to all the problems in the US if Romney were now our president? He’s just like the Demoncrats: everything is Bush’s fault. With you, Diogenes, everything goes back to Romney. i think i detect an obsession with the man.

do you have a dart board with romney’s picture on it that you practice on, when you aren’t posting romney-laced postings on FR? or do you write his name a thousand times on lined paper, and the tear it up afterwards.

get over romney, as he will not be running in 2016. it will be Jeb, as that is who the GOP elite want. so will you then lay Jeb’s loss to Hillarious in 2016 at romney’s feet as well?

"Here is the reason why the country is doomed."

No - out country is doomed because no conservative since Reagan has been able to effectively educate the voters about the value to everyone of conservative ideals.

Instead, the Kamikaze Conservatives waste time and money hunting RINO's or sitting out elections and allowing liberals to win by default.

Way too early! Anyone that sticks their head up now is a fool, because they will be shot full of potshot holes by the time Primaries roll around.

I've been wondering if anyone has been considering: Governor Susana Martinez of New Mexico; Conservative, Hispanic, female. That would disarm Hillary and the Dem's "War on Women" strategy AND seriously cut into Hillary's Hispanic support. Recently, I saw Gov. Martinez mentioned as a "possibility" in another article. Now, I know that some FReepers will disqualify her because she had a puppy when she was 9 years old named Rockefeller, and because of that, they will swear that she is a closet RINO.
