Elizabeth Warren poses a challenge to Hillary in 2016
The New York Post ^ | December 14, 2014 | Michael Goodwin

It’s enough to make you feel sorry for Hillary Clinton. Well, almost.

Her presidential campaign of celebrity and inevitability got off to a rocky start, mostly through her own mistakes, as when she claimed they were “dead broke” when she and Bubba left the White House.

But her gaffes were mere speed bumps compared to the real threat forming now.

Massachusetts firebrand Sen. Elizabeth Warren emerges from Washington’s budget clash as the undisputed champion of the rising left, and will almost certainly challenge Clinton for the 2016 nomination.

The polls say it’s Hillary’s turn, but I’m starting to believe 2016 could be 2008 all over again, with Warren taking the nomination from her the way Barack Obama did.

As Mark Twain said, “History may not repeat itself, but it does rhyme.” So it is with the political dynamic, then and now....

Don't they have any candidates that don't qualify for Medicare and Social Security?

“Old” is only a problem for Republicans, at least in the judgement of the MSM.

Welcome to the party buddy. How long have people on this board been saying that Elizabeth Warren was going to be Hillary’s biggest challenger in 2016?

It’s not a “challenge”. Warren/Castro (The La Raza commie from San Antonio) WILL be the ‘RAT nominees in 2016. Slick Willie’s wife is going to come in second again. IMHO.

Somewhere, either a psychiatric hospital, a retirement home, drug treatment program, or an aging hippie commune are missing a pair of bat-shit-crazy elderly women.

IMHO the reason for the left’s objection to the budget deal is ENTIRELY a stunt to get Fauxcahontas’ name out there and build street cred for her with the left. I believe it is being engineered by the anti-Clinton forces which of course includes barky and stretch. I am now more convinced than ever that hitlery will NOT be the 2016 rat nominee.

Warren would probably chew Clinton to pieces in a Democratic primary. I don’t think it would be close, like the 08 Obama-Clinton primaries were. Warren has the zealous gleam of the true believer left, which will appeal to the Democratic base. IMHO, Clinton is too familiar, too “yesterday’s news”, etc. I also personally think her health issues are more serious than has been let on. I’m not entirely sure that she will even run.

Running to the left of Herself, Madame Benghazi, the Cold & Joyless, is a rather risky proposition in and of itself. Herself is like the slow driver on the expressway that takes up two lanes of traffic by straddling the lane dividing markings, swerving just enough to prevent leaving room for rivals to gain much advantage while attempting to overtake the lead.

Run, Fauxcahontas, run. At the very least, you will force Herself to spend vast amounts in the primary season, leaving a serious deficit when it comes time for the general election. What the heck, I would like to see Bernie Sanders jump in. But of course, he might just be spitting into the wind.

I'm starting to believe 2016 could be 1968 all over again.

This is the last hurrah for the 60's anti-everything liberals as they are now old and fat and dying off.

She may want to avoid Ft. Marcy Park. This is Hitlery’s last kick at the cat...best not to interfere.

In don’t trust these Democrats any more than I trust the Communists.

Warren is nothing more than a fake prop by the Democrats to make Hillary look like a good ‘centrist’.

One the one hand, I think that Phauxahontax Warren would be a terrible candidate and should be easy to beat.

On the other hand, my God what if she actually won?

I figured no POTUS could be re-elected with $4 gas, 8% unemployment (13% actual), surging food prices, and trillion dollar deficits to the end of time.

So electing Warren may be pretty easy...

I don't think so. The hard left has never liked Hillary. That is how we ended up with Obamanation. And Hillary has not improved with age.

The far left will campaign and vote for Hillary if she gets the Democrat nomination, but they would much rather have a reliable far wing leftist like Fauxahontax Warren than a "whatever helps Hillary at the moment" leftist like Hillary.
