Juan Williams: Economy could tip election to Dems
The Hill ^ | 9-29-2014 | Juan Williams

One of the biggest surprises on the midterm campaign trail is hearing President Obama echo President Reagan’s famous question by asking voters whether “you are better off than you were four years ago.”

The question is the hammer in Obama’s toolbox for nailing down his Democratic majority in the Senate in this year’s midterm election.

“By almost every economic measure, we are better off today than we were when I took office,” the president said in a Sept. 19 speech to the Women’s Leadership Forum, sponsored by the Democratic National Committee.

Speaking to a Labor Day rally of union workers in Milwaukee, he also pointed to America’s improved economic performance over the last five years. “You wouldn’t know it from watching the news,” he lamented.

Of course we are better off. We have unlimited funds provided by the Fed for our esteemed representatives in Congress. Nobody needs to work anymore although some old fashioned types still do. We are nestled in the gentle slope of our new leisure society

The Ford-Reagan syndrome where people, especially women, had to go to an office and work their butts off is finally ending thanks to the new economy and new reality of Federal Reserve financing of federal deficits. We in America have picked the Apple and taken a big bite and there is whole tree full where that one came from.

Yeah, if by "we" you mean government bureaucrats.

There’s a report this morning that with Obama’s interview on 60 Minutes, the show’s ratings fell 69 percent from the prior week. Obviously, Americans are fat, dumb and happy, enjoying the economic “boom” to the hilt so they know things are in good hands and they don’t have to listen as the president is always right. Interesting that the national “press”, in reporting the 60 Minutes rating drop: 1) blamed the lack of a football lead-in to 60 Minutes; and 2) somehow neglected to mention in their articles on the ratings drop that this was a segment in which Obama gave his interview to a grateful Steve Kroft.

Juan should be thanking Roger Ailes of Fox, the most hated news channel by the Liberal Gestapo, for employing him when NPR sacked him His paycheck has absolutely NOTHING to do with Obama.

As for the economy, it’s only been worse during the Great Depression. Those jobs created are PART TIME jobs, thanks to ObamaCare. No one but the Democrat media thinks this is a good economy. But there are more billionaires than ever, and most of them are Democrats.

Juan really needs to put down the crack pipe. He must be doing some heavy duty drugs if he believes the economy will tip the election to the Dims...hope is medical coverage at FNC includes in-patient drug rehabilitation.

"..S&P 500 stock index has more than doubled while hitting all-time records.”

It's all bubble. Expect a 40% correction.
