I agree. We all know about what happens when a man is elected who has none of those skills.
“Ben Carson is our best chance to get our country back...”
How so? He has no experience in political matters, thinks amnesty is okay, and is against the 2nd amendment.
I thought so too for awhile, he speaks well. Then he ran into the 2nd Amendment and demonstrated his complete ignorance of the meaning of it. Anyone who gets that wrong, such a simple thing, cannot be trusted with anything therafter. I don't think I am alone in ignoring him and anything he says.
Our founding fathers left more up to the “people” than what many think. They put no enforcement of Laws in the checks and balances between branches of govt——I think Thomas Jefferson would stand by his Tree of Liberty needs to be refreshed comment even today......
I wonder if he is referring to a nuclear attack, or some kind of world war, after an economic meltdown? I think much, if not all the world, will blame America for the global collapse.
Could obama stiup some anarchy to cancel the election of 2016—YOU BET! With ACORN and the Black Panthers it would not be hard. He could serve a third Term and many in the MSM would love it—That or use his pen to appoint Hillary President without an election. Or fix the elections so Progressives win everywhere. It could happen and we must be ready. If he did that —What would you do? I know—ZIP.
You know that, do you?
But we live in a society where the law is ignored. Holder picked and chose the laws he wished to enforce and obey, as has this entire presidential administration. My point is that it doesn’t matter what the Constitution says. This administration has no qualms about circumventing the law and doing what it wants. Individual states won’t stand up for themselves, and as stated, congress and the courts will acquiesce too.
If he tries to stay past his expiration date (as you so aptly put it) expect to see him cast it as a “temporary” measure necessitated by “unique national circumstances”. Change often happens via the proverbial slippery slope.
Liberals will, if necessary, accept an incremental path toward achieving their goals. And make no mistake about it, they clearly want put the Constitution in the dustbin of history.
He may try something, but if he does, I think — or at least hope — that it would backfire on him and his true believers in a spectacular fashion. If there is a crisis of his own making, I think — or at least hope — that that would be obvious (e.g. disorder caused by ACORN punks), that in a country of over 300 million people a significant number of them would be ready, willing, and able to fight postponing the election, and that patriots among the political class would stand up to the plate and lead the fight. If there is a crisis not of his own making, who but the true believers feels comfortable knowing that the only man who stands between us and the abyss is Barack Obama?
I go back to my original point. We had a presidential election in 1864. How the rest of the war would be pursued, what would be done about the freed slaves, etc., were issues open to debate. The Democrats nominated Gen. McClellan. There were Republican leaders who opposed re-nominating Lincoln because they thought he couldn’t win. Some Radical Republicans bolted and formed the Radical Democracy Party, nominating John C. Fremont. Freemont offered not to run if the Republicans nominated someone other than Lincoln. Eventually, Fremont changed his tune and withdrew in support of Lincoln.
The process went on.
Unless we degenerate into a “Hunger Games”-style dystopia in the next two years, there is no reason for the election not to be conducted as scheduled. If we are collapsed and ruined, then the election is beside the point.

And I understand your point. Despite great national stresses, the Constitution was followed and the process continued uninterrupted. That was a triumph for democracy and a commitment to a belief in our system of government.
However I think its important to acknowledge that we were a much different and more serious country way back then, before we became the United States of Entertainment. Most Americans these days care more about sports, Hollywood, social media, and a raft of trivialities than they do about the future of the country.
Statism is now firmly rooted in our culture. The sheeple will go along with anything as long as their bread and circuses are not jeopardized and government largesse ontinues to flow to them.
A “temporary” suspension of the election process would not ever reister on their attention meter. Freedom and self-determination are simply not cherished priorities to many, if not most, Americans.
I see what you are saying. I’m just hoping that there is enough of the good old American spirit left to fight it off. I guess I have a big enough problem with Obama being president in the first place, so his staying on longer is a particularly hateful thought to me!
If stock market has a few more days like today, I will start the riots before 2016...haha.
