Iowa DEMOCRATS, like their neighbors in most of the adjoining states, are far left because of the Prairie Populist history of those states going back to the 19th Century, whereas many Iowa Republicans are either evangelicals or Ripon Republicans. Mixed bag.
I sometimes think the Dems would welcome Pol Pot.
I have a liberal acquaintance who for a while now has been saying the 2016 Dem ticket will be Warren/Saunders. She used to be a Hillary supporter.
