Conservatives that can't vote for Romney VANITY

Posted on 11/02/2012 11:06:00 AM PDT by birdsman

I know that some freepers are reluctant to vote for Romney because he's not conservative enough. Few of us wanted him to be the Republican nominee, and for good reason. This is why I'm voting Libertarian this year. I know the mantra, a vote for Gary Johnson is a vote for Obama, but that's not true in deep blue states like mine (New York). I propose that conservatives in deep blue states agree to vote 3rd party. In return, conservatives in toss up states can hold their noses while voting for Romney.

If it was a regular GOP v DEM election I’d say go for it.

However we DO NOT want a nightmare scenario where Obama gets the popular vote and Romney gets the electoral. We understand how that works and would accept it if it were the other way around but the Obama zombies would absolutely go into smash and burn mode if that were to happen.

Bush v Gore 2000 we still hear how Bush stole the election which we all know is a crock of crap but the libs don’t care. That happens again and there will be blood in the streets, can almost guarantee it.

So even if you’re in a heavy blue or heavy red State cast a Romney vote against Obama cause we have to win both popular and electoral to say without a doubt Obama lost.

That’s a good one.

I was at my son’s football tourney with all of the mothers and fathers and coaches letting our hair down last Saturday and of the 50 some adults gathered there, there was only one who was NOT completely excited to vote for Mitt or against Obama. That one said it was either Johnson or Obama for him. I laughed and laughed and kept telling him what a GREAT idea it was to vote for Johnson. This is Wisconsin and we all live in the SanFran of the Midwest - Madison - where you can expect the lost and befuddled Obama and his minstrel Springsteen will try to energize the vote right to the bitter end. The words used to describe Obama from the crowd couldn’t be printed here.

“Which is cancelled out by 10 more Catholics voting for Obama”

Have you listened to Catholic radio lately? They have made it clear that it is your obligation to vote for life.

I am not Catholic but my friends that are who lean to the left HATE OBAMA THIS TIME. It will be the difference in many states.

“Few of us wanted him to be the Republican nominee, and for good reason. This is why I’m voting Libertarian this year.”

Like pissing in a dark pair of wool pants. It’ll feel nice and warm for a while and no one would notice, but after a bit it’ll stink and be real uncomfortable... especially with Obama rubbing his middle finger on his forehead or laying it on the side of his nose while taking the oath. It’ll be cold.

“This election is more than just about ONE PERSON”

Yes, and one person cannot possibly decide the election, which is how the voting system was designed. So why try and co.Vince one person to vote your way? It’s ridiculous.

Since the hurricane, NY may not be the deep blue state it was.

I think we've got a better chance at winning Jersey.

“In return, conservatives in toss up states can hold their noses ............”

Thank you for offering a deal. I had not been aware that this was a hostage/ransom/negotiation situation. I’ll also remind you that we don’t need your permission to hold our noses or do anything else. Thank you for offering it; it’s a magnanimous gesture, no doubt. But we don’t need it now, nor will we ever.

So, how does a Roman Catholic vote for life except by NOT voting for President at all?

It could be that Romney takes some surprise blue states.

I'm in MA and am looking forward to MA turning Red this time around. People are p!$$ed off and even a lot of Dems here are voting Romney. They see him as closer to what they remember the Democrat party used to be and are fed up with the Liberalism rampant in their party. It could be a huge surprise here.

Personally, I can't stand Romney. But I'm voting for him. I would go to bat for him in a pinch because he's a decent guy. I wouldn't p!$$ on Obama if he were on fire. The sooner that Marxist POS leaves this mortal coil, the better.

Is Johnson’s running well enough in NM to tip that state to Obama, or is the state just locked up for Obama any way?

Yeah, but football tends to draw out the conservatives. A kids' soccer or basketball tournament would probably be a cross section of the population.

If you think Romney isn’t conservative enough, why do you turn around and vote for Gary Johnson?

Gary Johnson is a libertarian, and by definition, not a conservative. When I was active in Young Americans for Freedom, libertarians were always saying to me, “we are not conservatives, we are libertarians.” Very well, then I won’t support them.

We believe the same about them. But will still vote for a Mormon. It has been said that if you replaced all the dim catholic pols with mormons, you would have laws much closer to the teachings of the RCC.

My feeling as well here in SW Pennsylvania where we have a TON of Catholic voters.

I'm of the opinion that it is the Mormon haters who are going to unwittingly drag Mitt over the finish line. Every time they yell "cult", they are the equivalent of the white supremacists who yell the n***** word at Obama.

Look at it this way, you are going to support a Mormon either way, the question is, will it be Mitt Romney or Harry Reid?

What I’m aware of is that you have little to no comprehension about what I wrote concerning the former Governor of Massachusetts.
