But Obama doesn’t even “claim” to be pro life. And maybe Romney’s conversion is real. Isn’t it a good thing when people change to a more correcet viewpoint? And in any event, even if Romney was faking, I would guess it was his pro-choice stance that was a fake to get elected in MA, while his true inclinations were pro-life (based on his religion and family life), just like my assumption is that Obama has been pro-same sex marriage all along but was pretending to be against for political purposes.

“That may sound tangential, but it’s not if you watched Fox News.”

I would have liked to have seen Britt Hume drop kick the twerp off the balcony. What a schnorrer.

It’s NOT about you. It’s about one nation under GOD, not evil!

I hate EVIL/godless as God does. Speaking TRUTH is charitable and priceless.

And in that interview the other day, Mittens came out and said he is in favor of abortion for the “health” of the mother, rape and incest. Which, basically, is the same position as every Democrat.

No, most Democrats support an unlimited abortion license. Personally, I don't support any exceptions that Romney supports, but it is certainly not the unlimited abortion license supported by Obama and the Democrats.

She said she was an episcopalian when they met, and of course Willard was a Morman. So she left Christianity to join a cult started by some conman name Joe Smith.

Palin can’t be bought nor is she into cronyism - all those that were there can be and have been. Separating the wheat from the chaff.

one nation under GOD

Do you think Obama supports this paradigm?

Wrong. "Health" of the mother effectively means you can go in and get an abortion if you say it's giving you stress, a headache, etc. It is effectively no different than the most liberal Democrat position.

Ted Cruz and Artur Davis were the best speakers of the night.
I think they were the only two not using notes of any kind.
I like the way Cruz walked out on the stage and I liked the way Davis sounded like a preacher. I also thought that
good looking Janine Turner was good for the couple of minutes she spoke.

The John and Abigail Adams scholarships are actually a 1 or 2 K per annum incentive to pass the MCAS test as a sophomore in public HS, it only counts for UMASS/ State Schools or CC’s.

I only know this from going to Orientation at UMASS.
My son is inelligible as he went to parochial school through grade 11 and had to pass the MCAS as a Senior to graduate from a MA Public School.
What a joke.
He beat the crap out of the test.
We don’t qualify because he HAD to take it in order to graduate in Grade 12.
Three days of missed classses.
You make your choices and take your place.

I will not mock Mitt for this one even though it was a pain in the Ass, these kids are not brain dead . Teachers suck though.
He got his first “D” in English from a 2 named Bitch who failed all of the Conservative LAX players.

Teacher’s Unions should be dismantled...period.

Interesting! I had quite a different view! I thought Ann hit it out of the ball park. It is one of those impressionable moments that will stick in your memory for a very long time. It actually brought back memories of Sarah Palin’s acceptance speech. I thought she was amazingly poised, passionate and spellbinding

And as for Christie, I don’t know what everyone is talking about. The whole speech was red meat. he didn’t have to mentions obama by name every two seconds to show scorn for his failures and presidency. In fact I rather was happy that he spared us this miserable man’s name yet he attacked everything about him.

Romney is against nationalizing Romneycare and wants to repeal Obamacare. Romney did implement the court’s decision on SSM, but he did not initiate. As far as I know, he has not personally conducted any SSMs.

pretty obvious the GOPE has no stomach to voice much social conservatism and little mettle to go after Obama

they sound like Positive Thinking preachers and motivational coaches

that might work given 40% of the country detests Obama but in normal years it is yet again like always a losing strategy

this is about turnout...they would be wise to pump up the base volume

women are simply not as a whole gonna go majority GOP...neither are any minority except Viets, older Cubans and rich South American expats

the meat of the GOP is white males over 40 and married white women

get them motivated..the lib media is actually right even though they say it like it is the pejorative

this avoid confrontation and red meat conservatism gameplan stinks of Yankee Neo Con and moderate Republicans like Lowell Weiker or Everett Dirksen woulda liked

I just cannot believe it

the modern GOP establishment is basically Scoop Jackson democrats

(look em up children...educate yerself)

Brit said, kind of reluctantly, the convention was off to a “reasonably good start.” He might be overstating the case a little. Except for Haley’s speech, I was not getting the case made to me as to why Obama needs to be replaced with someone else. Don’t they realize they’re running against an incumbent? They should be talking about Obama’s disastrous record. The whole reason Romney got the nomination was because people thought he had the best chance to beat Obama. If this convention continues to be about selling Romney, it’s going to flop bigtime. Romney’s not a desirable product. If it becomes about attacking Obama, then it could work very well, like Haley’s speech showed.
