The buzz is that Ann Romney's speech was off the charts and that Chris Christie's speech was moderately good but didn't have the red meat people wanted. I tend to disagree. Christie's speech was fantastic but in a much more subtle way. He showed the stark differences. Thoughts?

Yes, I was pleasantly surprised by Davis’s speech. I liked Nikki Haley’s too. She slapped ol’ Barky and his union bosses around a bit, didn’t she?
I thought both speeches were very good for different reasons, and the contrast between the two made the overall effect even better.
I liked when Christie discussed the specifics of what he did in New Jersey. The speech seemed to go on too long after that. I guess he ended up discussing Mitt Romney after that but I just tuned out then. Mitt’s no more interesting when people talk about him than when he talks about himself.
This is why I haven’t visited Drudge for months. And I never will again.

And in that interview the other day, Mittens came out and said he is in favor of abortion for the “health” of the mother, rape and incest. Which, basically, is the same position as every Democrat.
They both hit it out of the park. some top notch Republican talent tonight. I enjoyed every minute of it.
And the earth itself is crying out for all the blood shed. When it opens up and swallows them, they will have it for eternity along w/their same sex perverts.
Dittos on Haley. I forgot that one - my wife loved it.

Two excellent speeches that separated the two beliefs. Ann was very emotional and she gave the velvet backhand to obozo again and again. She is tired of the vilify the wealthy routine and the personal attacks.
Christie explained what fiscal conservatism is and why it works.

It is funny. I remember Juan almost being a convert before and after 2008, then he drank the Obama kool-Aid. I have another half-black friend who is doing the same thing. It is circle the wagons time for them, but it doesn’t have to be that way.
This is the perfect time for them to PROVE they ARE NOT RACIST and side with right vs. Obama. They would be respected for it, but for some reason (demon possession?) they can not do it.

Yah, Chris Christie was awesome! Funny, to the point, straight-shooting. I thot he was terrific! Ann Romney was good enough, is obviously not a practiced speaker. The only gripe they have about CC is that ‘he didn’t mention Romney til late in his speech’ — that is pathetic. Hoping they’ve got their undies in a bunch.
