What are the 100 organizations that are being asked to drop support? Maybe we can give them a little nudge.

I suspect we will hear more on that soon enough. I agree - they need a strong nudge. Does anyone know how else we can donate blood? I would never boycott that unless an alternative blood bank existed locally. I am just ashamed and embarassed that a person could consider themselves an American and do what the Red Cross officials did.

I agree with Donohue completely, but I don't understand why this is his battle to fight.

Go directly to your community hospital and tell them you want to donate blood without the Red Commie Cross involved.

Only this time, a mere reversal and apology shouldn't turn the trick. Such apology would be no more sincere than cockroaches running for cover when the light is turned on. No, this time, the support should be withheld until the Red Cross has a top to bottom housecleaning to rid themselves of this kind of thinking.
They're so worried about offending anyone . . . except Americans.

If this were just a chapter of the Red Cross acting this way, we would be disturbed but would not call for drastic action. But since the headquarters of the American Red Cross is supporting the ban on God Bless America and America the Beautiful, we are left with little alternative. Sadly, it has become all too common for the high priests of religious diversity and inclusiveness to resort to gag rules. A bump for the Catholic church. But there is lots we can do!

Funny how support for "inclusion" and "diversity" tranlates into "No Christians."

I just left a message with Dr. Donohue asking him for the information so that FReepers can support this boycott.
Hopefully I will talk to him within the next 24 hours.

I'm all for this ban. I also think the cross of the RC should maintain truth in advertising and be changed to a swastika.

Hmmmmm.....my money has ""In God We Trust", evidently money is no longer acceptable to the Red Cross either.

What an irony... the first place the Red Cross goes for blood is Christian churches all across the US. Ever seen a blood bus in a church parking lot? You bet. Kinda makes you feel like theyre a bunch of leaches, dont it...

From another Red Cross thread:
Red Cross Lays Down Law (Keep God out...of Else!)
To put things in perspective, this is the same Red Cross who just last month trooped off to Camp X-Ray in Guantanamo to investigate mistreatment of Al Qaeda prisoners making sure that they had ethnically sensitive meals, prayer rugs, clean clothes, and cigarettes.
It's perfectly clear what global sector the American Red Cross has embraced as its "international" buddy.
No wonder the Red Cross cannot allow the non-Muslim lyrics of "God Bless the USA" to insult the Islamic sensibilities of its twin sister organization in the charity game.
The Koran specifically forbids these "God" references to any name but Allah.
The Red Cross has deep concerns over the acceptability of the word "God" sung by American children--yet the Red Cross is voicing very grave concerns over the Gitmo living conditions of the Muslim terrorists who attacked America.
The American Red Cross has made its position crystal clear--it has chosen Allah over God.

Razor sharp retort!!!

What makes you think the Red Cross would even consider apologizing? They can go straight to hell as far as I'm concerned. They've gone starkraving mad.
