The father of the young lady who was driving the car was on the program and he said that after the young man was shot in the face, he was handcuffed and laid face-down on the ground for about an hour - until the FBI found out that they had the wrong guy. Only then did they call for medical assistance.
She said that while her friend was laying on the ground the FBI agents were whooping it up and refused her begging that they call medics.
BTW I used to live in that general area. There are at least three volunteer fire departments within five miles - all with ambulances and paramedics.
The FBI apparently caught the real perp on Sunday but they refuse to release any information - not even the name or location of the bank, the identity of the perp, the "identity" of the get-away car (for which they mistook the young lady's) - NOTHING. They are stonewalling.
Never saw that one coming. < /sarcasm >
By the way, what's the status of the James Beck case?
I don't feel like contributing today. ~~~ Wait until you see "Unable to locate server"
I don't have money. ~~~ Help with the fundraiser. Bump the threads, ping your FRiends.
There's plenty of time to donate. ~~~ Bill collectors don't see it that way.
I don't know where to contribute. ~~~ Credit card, mail: FreeRepublic, LLC, PO BOX 9771, FRESNO, CA 93794 , Paypal: JimRob@psnw.com
I've got too many other things to do first. ~~~ Don't we all?
I can't contribute much, what's five dollars. ~~~ If everyone contributed one dollar a month, we'd never have a fundraiser again.
The dog ate my credit card. ~~~ Shoot the dog.
Just let me finish freeping. ~~~ BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Don't wait until it's too late. Do it today. Do it now! Free Republic is funded solely by us. It's up to us to keep it running. Do your part, contribute if you can. Bump the fundraising threads. Help keep this place alive!
None of them should be defended by means of the public treasury either.
Actually, there's a crime here - a conspiracy sort of crime in fact - and it has to do with civil rights.
If there were any local cops in on this, their employer is going to become a very bankrupt municipal authority.

I think this bears repeating. For God's sake. Who is running the FBI? Talk about incompetence! Whatever happened to America?
What the hell is happening to Free Republic?
This is supposed to be a conservative forum.
With this constant, multiple threads per day vilifying -- demonizing -- law enforcement, this forum is beginning to sound like a reunion of the Manson family.
What's next? People scrawling in red letters Death to the piggies all over their posts?
Someone want to post all the lyrics to this:
In their styes with all their backing
They don't care what goes on around
In their eyes there's something lacking
What they need's a damn good whacking.
[Piggies]
I'll give you that one because I want to make a point. But I know many of you would probably be happier putting up the lyrics to Helter Skelter (or maybe Sexy Sadie) but you're on your own for that.

Much of it is, but this part is in the far north-east part of the county, making it the most remote from D.C.. It is just south of Baltimore and most of the people work in Baltimore or in and around BWI airport.
Is it proper to smear all cops with a broad brush?
L
No, which is why I asked about these cops in particular.
Was the behavior of these cops proper, Dane?
If they can be identified. The question is, can the FBI be forced to identify them?
Actually, there's a crime here - a conspiracy sort of crime in fact - and it has to do with civil rights.
Agreed. However, who is it that prosecutes "civil rights" cases? The Justice Department. Who does the FBI report to? The Justice Department.
In my opinion, this one is just going to be another Waco or Ruby Ridge.
Bottom line: The government, and the government employee, is never responsible. Mistakes were made.
The only consolation is that the FBI agent is a lousy shot, or the young man would be dead.
L
I would feel much better if I thought that it was incompetence. It is not. It is the evil which results from unchecked power.
Or the refuge of a person without a legitimate point.
