We have allowed this nation to become so weak, so impotent, because of the awesome evil that the left has wreaked upon this country over the last 30 years.

And I'm sitting here tonight, filled with total emptiness and despair, and I honest to God don't know how to feel...

What keeps me optimistic is feeling that the pendulum will soon swing back. Sometimes it takes a cold slap of reality to wake people up and maybe the recent events will have that effect. Despite the fact that the left has basically taken over all of our institutions over the past 30 years ther are positive signs out there.

The generation following the boomers has directly suffered the immediate consequences of the behavior of their parent's generation. As a result they generally have more traditional values regarding family and they don't trust the government. The Soviet Union is no more thanks to Americans electing Reagan to two terms. Communism as an external threat has basically been eliminated (with the exception of China (which seems more militaristic and seeking hegemony in Asia than hard line Communist). There are actually honest debates about the Ponzi Scheme we know as Social Insecurity (we haven't won it yet but at least it is being discussed).

We were able to take control of both houses of Congress for the first time in nearly half a century (of course the stupid party gave it away). This country survived three terms of Roosevelt, then Kennedy and Johnson, and then Carter. I am confident that we will overcome the damage done by eight years of Clinton. Granted there will be some permanent damage.

The media is no longer entirely controlled by ABC, CBS, and NBC. The most popular magazine on the Hill is the Weekly Standard.

While I too get completely disgusted, I also believe that most Americans are not your stereotypical soccer-mom type. They work and then endure the commute home and just want to spend some time with their families. The thing is if they get pushed hard enough they will push back so hard that those that antagonized them will wish they never heard of us.

A good example was when I lived in Mass. I lived in a community that was all Dems (except me and 17 other registered Rs out of about 20,000). Some punks from another part of town were coming in and harrassing shop owners after school. The next day the entire street was lined with the men from the community to escort them home and ensure that they got the message (hint, they weren't empty handed). There was never any more trouble. Granted, this was a working class community but the majority of Americans are not yuppies living in gated communities.

I truly believe that there will be more attacks and I pray that they don't result in any casualties. The animals behind any attacks will then see some real retribution because we would then have the stomach for what needs to be done. These sick animals supposedly don't fear death but we will make them fear a fate worse than death - true hell on earth. Then maybe they will be subdued.

I'm not sure. I've been trying to track down the beginning of all this hatred myself. Bastard or not, one would think that they would have merged with the Jews of the time. Religion wise. But, I suppose its possible that they went off on their own and created their own religion.

I know the decendants became Arabs/Muslims... but is this when the religion of Islam began? If so, why is it that it took 500 years for the prophet Mohammad..... also much of Islam is similar if not the same as with the Jews, particularly the food laws.

I haven't really been able to find a distinct difference between them. I'm sure there must be some, but are they minor or major?

Incidentally John the Baptiste was beheaded. What group did that? It seems that Herod had some Idumean bloodlines.

I had ABC on when I read this thread. 20/20 started an had a lengthy bit with Pearl's wife. They have a couple of kids (she gave birth recently through induced labor since it would be very awkward if she needed to get to the hospital at 3AM).

Also said that Pearl met his wife while both were attending a Christian university.

No mention that he was beheaded.

Or is just how the story goes? Who wrote that story anyway? Obviously someone who had a view of the races and a desired to try and explain how they came to be. Biblical teaching are very politicized just as the Quran. There are many mentioned different tribes. Why? Were we set up to fail? Or be tested. Failure can be a fait accompli. All very interesting. Well of course it depends on what your final objective is, and here it is to bring these heathens into modern times where they stop acting like barbarians. In order to accomplish that, their will needs to be broken, their religion, which is the basis of their culture, needs to be discredited. Perhaps then they can begin to rebuild in a fashion that respects other folks.

I used to beleive it could be done from within, I no longer think that. What will it take to accomplish breaking this will?
