Good article and great to have you back. You have been missed.

We are taking in too many immigrants. 911 should be a wake up call.

One hears that all will be well if we really indoctrinate immigrants and school children into Americanism. But this guy from "Reason" is an indication of what has happened to many Americans. They've come to think of themselves as above and beyond nationality. We aren't going to institute that kind of indoctrination. It would be easier to just reduce immigration until we can assimilate the people we already have here.

Good to hear from you again. Hope you had a nice New Year's.

Thanks O.

Not quite. "is indeed that native-born Americans receive no net aggregate benefit from this influx. America, in short, is being transformed for nothing.

I might suggest that America is not being transformed for nothing - America is being transformed for VOTES and BUCKS. The old 'we will sell the rope to hang ourselves'.

Where are all the reviewers who, without reading, smeared Pat's A Republic, Not an Empire as pro-Hitler? The Commmie 'critical theory' crowd is quite silent. I wonder what the reviewer, Brian Doherty, thinks is the difference between Sharon's view on immigration to Israel and Buchanan's. Is Sharon focused on race? The major difference I can see is the Sharon does not want assimilation and Buchanan does.

Buchanan actually says very specifically that immigrants of every race can become Americans. His concern is with their numbers, combined with the collapse of the assimilating institutions.

Bump.

I thought you received a "tenner" from our wonderful neocon facilitators, glad your back.

Thanks. I don't know what "tenner" means exactly but I was neither banned nor suspended. My exile, such as it was, was entirely self-imposed.

I thought you had morphed into someone else, but I couldn't figure out the new handle.

LOL. That must've been frustrating!

Foster wasn't exactly Pat's first choice for a running mate.

No doubt. I heard he got quite a number of refusals although I've never managed to find out exactly who. I imagine that eventually PJB will write a campaign memoir and hopefully a lot of that kind of stuff will be revealed.

....the pols won't listen and the media will continue to lie. So we have our work cut out for us.

Yes, but the people are listening and LIKING what they are hearing from Pat. After all the tv appearances regarding this book, many people (both Dems and Pubs) came up to me (knowing I campaigned hard for Pat)and said "you know he's right" or "I really liked what he's saying" and "he's the only one with with the guts to say what needs to be said". People want the borders sealed (at least temporary) and safe. They want illegals out. If you want to be an American, do it the right way.

Pat may not be presidential material (in others opinion, not mine) but he is a force to be reckoned with. He speaks for all Americans, regardless of party line.

God Bless you, Pat Buchanan.

Thanks for the ping, and here's a bump to the top. Hooray for Pat and his courage to speak out (but how we have fallen when it takes courage to say things in public which so many Americans still believe in).

"tenner" was a term from Gulag Archipeligo indicating the length of the sentence.

Thanks for the ping.

Too bad that groups calling themselves "libertarian" more closely resemble cults than outposts of freedom, but I guess that's the way politics (and human nature) works.

Yep, heard him say this just last night on Alan Keyes. Taped it, too, for use in my future "mind games" with a few liberal friends.

Btw, really, really, really good that you're back.
