Note also that Hansen is predicting, if the current rate of warming continues for the entire next century, an Earth as warm as the mid-Pliocene, 2 deg C warmer than present, with sea levels 25 meters higher than today.

Of course it's not possible AT ALL that Hansen is as full of crap there (even given the conditional "if the current rate of warming continues") as he has been with everything else over the past 15 years.

. Interesting that Michaels didn't mention those numbers in his piece, isn't it?

Not really. There are only so many words in a newspaper column. I'm sure Michaels will take that particular claim up in written form at some point if he hasn't already.

Here's the short version... NASA will get funds from the Federal Coffers in the name of satellite technology to improve the intelligence community...they no longer have need for the Environmental bribery and scaremonger techniques...and, hence, there is no need to support unfounded Environmental positions...

Public choice theory in action. Good point.

"Velikovsky died in 1979, and although his books once made the best seller lists, they are no longer in print."

You can still find both hardcover and softcover editions in most used bookstores ... a very interesting read ...

... but only if you read it as science fiction.

Make that "used-book stores" not "used bookstores".

Actually, I haven't purchased too many bookstores, much less used ones.
