SS agent, hires lawyer Yep it was the next step.
I bet after he was questioned he filled out the forms wrong and acted nervous and arrogant hoping to get kicked off the flight so he could "get them back" and file a lawsuit.
You win..
To: veronica
Since this Pretorian Guard has decided to file a lawsuit in his capacity as a citizen, a counter-suit by the pilot can and should be sent his way with ease. Now is the time for the pilots's union to earn its keep.
If the published account is accurate, the pilot may well have helped to identify an unstable clymer who has no business carrying a badge let alone a weapon.....

He smells money for himself, intentionally filled out the forms improperly to arouse suspicions so he could use race for a lawsuit. Is he a Christian, Muslim, or none of the above?

Bush isn't demagoguing. He's pandering - to the Islamic community in America. If everyone else has to follow these clearance rules, why shouldn't this guy? We have become a nation of total nitwits.

The SS has been in a downward spiral since they stopped recruiting Mormons as agents. Say what you will about them but as keepers of history and minders of presidents they are surpassed by none. And no I do not practice the Morman faith, however my Father for some odd reason did have me baptized as one (this of course was out of my control):).
God Bless America

I believe the pilot. You would think they could do a better job of finding people to protect the President than this guy. I am so sick of hearing him whine and complain about this, if his fellow Arabs would behave, none of this extra security would be necessary.
To: JoeGar
President Bush told reporters last week that he would be "madder than heck" if racial profiling was a factor in the agent's removal from the flight. Here goes GW again, he's going to bend over backwards to appease the Arabs. I couldn't imagine Ronald Reagan behaving this way.

I wonder if he is still on the Presidential detail after this incident?
Might his apparent inability to handle this situation with grace earn him a transfer to some backwater anti-counterfeiting detail?

It is SOLELY the decesion of the pilot. Right or wrong it is his command thus it is his call. By the way.... he was RIGHT!

But the main thing is he left the plane after boarding and left a carry on bag behind in the plane. That in itself is enough to get anyone kicked off the plane.

"last time i flew from ny to fla (9/6), as we covered the dc area, we got a lecture form the male stewardess about all the good that 'democrat' presidents have done through history. it was sickening and we were a captive audience. In air travel, as in the media, there seems to be that leftist bias."
How wrong you are.... most of my coworkers are ex-military. I've never been around so many conservative people in my life. They make me seem liberal...

Must have been a racist "gringo" pilot! lol

This agent is now in it for the money. He is seeking a bankroll not correcting what HE thinks is wrong. If that is what this is about the agent would have contacted his supervisor and had them handle it privately ... but instead he is blasting through with help from an attorney and the group that watches out for the rights of certain people.
Yep, its about money!

Will George Bush put out another statement??? "If I find out this agent was baiting the airlines by acting unprofessionally and purposely failing to complete his paperwork in order to extort cash from a bogus lawsuit and get his 15 minutes of fame I'm gonna be madder than heck!"
To: veronica
If it turns out that this guy did NOT fill out the forms correctly, and if he was hostile, and then he filed suit, he should be reassigned as a Clinton bodyguard. I don't want him anywhere near Dubya.
To: Poohbah
I am with you on AA. I switched my daughter and I to Southwest after AA threw off a Federal Law Enforcement officer and their loudmouth spokesman made an announcement for anyone in the surrounding area to hear. I found them rude and arrogant and will never fly AA as I stated on another thread!
To: Bahbah
If you all remember--on 9-11--that very day's Air Force One security codes had been compromised! Terorists KNEW the codes!
To: LN2Campy
Exactly the reason I don't want to fly: who wants the scrutiny!!!
