Evening Phildragoo.
Thanks for the additioanl info on Booth and the conspiracy.
It's sort of like the Kennedy assassination. How convenient for Oswald to get shot and killed. I have a hard time buying the "lone gunman" theory.

Thank you Phil. I know there is a whole lot more out there about this. Theories abound!

Davis was, of course, eventually arrested, though disguised in women's clothes masquerading as his wife's "old mother".Still trying that angle, Phil? Do some more research.

Morning Glory Snip & Sam~
Interesting read . . . I never knew about the multiple assassination plots. As I looked at the portraits of the different conspirators I couldn't help but see Al Franken, Tim Robinson, Susan Sarandon, Martin Sheen . . . etc. The parallels of hatred.

I don't know. I tend to read this with a "southern eye" maybe.
There was so much passion in the South about States Rights and the Constitution.
I equate it to the passion we feel now seeing how our country is losing it's core values because of too many laws and bad policies on immigration, foreign aid, prayer, etc.
Not that I want to go out and kill someone, but consider our recent past, would have cried over the loss of someone we all love to hate. I think Southerns may have felt that way about Lincoln.
Just a thought. :)

Wholeheartedly agree Snip. Lately, I've just been concerned with the amount of hatred and vile coming out of the fringe elements of the "left". I was just struck by those who would act on their hatred.
I went to school in the deep South and will tell you the resentments toward the North are alive and well. Students with Illinois plates that said "Land of Lincoln" often got their tires cut. Sad but true.
But most importantly, we can all sleep well tonight knowing you don't want to "go out and kill someone". ;^)

I'm trying my best to stay out of trouble here. LOL. I just think they may have felt about Lincoln the way a lot of America feels about x42.
And yes, you can sleep well... tonight. I'm harmless. ;)

Alrighty.
(How badly?)
Sorry I wasn't in for two days.
Been (still) trying to get a joystick to be recognized by it's own software.
And failed miserably.
I guess it's time to give up for now on that one.
