LAPTOPS FOR WOUNDED WARRIORS, founded by GATHERING OF EAGLES, has delivered another free laptop to a deserving serviceman today, April 28, 2012. It is with great pleasure I wish to announce the donation of a laptop to a wounded warrior today, SSgt Charlie Pannell, in Anderson, South Carolina.

Charlie was injured in September 2008 by an Iraqi terrorist's grenade in operations while clearing houses in a combat action. He told me that most of the men hit that day had died of their wounds, while his injuries have led to the amputation of his left leg and continuing infections which threaten his further healing. His actions in combat have awarded him a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star over the 3 deployments he served in Iraq.

Charlie has been blessed with a faithful wife and a young daughter, all who were pleased to see him home and alive and were present with him today, his 32nd birthday, to receive this free gift from LAPTOPS FOR WOUNDED WARRIORS.

This laptop donation has raised our number of delivered laptops to about 300, and it has all been possible by donations and efforts made by people like you.

In the enclosed photos, Charlie and his wife stand on the left side in the rear, while LAPTOPS FOR WOUNDED WARRIORS representative George Samek awards this gift to the brave SSGT.

Praise the Lord in my case, my nephew and cousin's son who each put two tours in Iraq, then the nephew as a civilian contractor for a year plus in Afghanistan, in the field on and off with our Marines and other units, where both spared the horrors some of our finest have now to face. So I can pass on that offer. Take care RB.
