Morning CholeraJoe.
What makes the Thunder Run even more amazing is that it pretty much went against the rules of using heavy armor in built up areas.

duckie's PT & her Dr visit went so well that she is being RELEASED in 2 weeks after 4 more PT sessions. (PRAYER WORKED!)
her orthopedist tested her knee/leg & said that her left (injured) leg had as good "range of motion" & strength as the right one.
WOO HOO!

Afternoon, folks.
This is such a sad and outrageous story. These guys should have had adequate airpower and armor backup. Today, they would.
I can't think about this battle, however, without feeling enormous pride in our troops, who defeated overwhelming odds, and standing in awe of Sergeants Shugart and Gordon, the very epitome of the NCO corps.

A-10s would have been most helpful and so would have multiple "lil bird" gun runs on the mobs that desecrated our dead. I'll never understand why we just watch such atrocities to include same in Iraq.

Afternoon CT.
IMHO, this whole episode shows that going into these 3rd world armpits isn't worth the manpower, time, money, or effort. Don't bother wasting American lives on places like this.
