The National Federation of Republican Assemblies (NFRA) is an organization of Republicans which seeks to promote conservative principles and candidates within in the United States Republican Party which support similar conservative principles. In addition to supporting conservative candidates, they are known to target so-called RINOs (Republican In Name Only) which they perceive as being sympathetic to the radical left-wing. They have adopted the slogan “The Republican Wing of the Republican Party”. The group has allied itself with Eagle Forum, Accuracy in Media, and Front Page Magazine.
The NFRA is the national umbrella organization for all of the state organizations. The oldest state party organization is the California Republican Assembly.
The current President of the NFRA is Rod Martin, and his term expires in 2009. Martin, a failed congressional candidate, was fined by the Federal Election Commission for violation of federal election law. A former lawyer, Martin surrendered his law license to the Supreme Court of Arkansas in 2006.
Speakers at the 2007 NFRA convention in St. Louis included Grover Norquist, Phyllis Schlafly, and Tom DeLay.

This was the first sourceThe Alabama Republican Assembly is a grass-roots volunteer organization chartered by the National Federation of Republican Assemblies. The NFRA was founded in 1997 to promote conservative values and principles in the Republican Party.
Ronald Reagan referred to the NFRA as the conscience if the Republican Party.

Pretty odd origin source huh? I hope they didn’t fall for an inaccurate piece like they did the VFW endorsement that really ‘blewback’ in their face.

What jumped out to me (besides the origin of the source, as you pointed, is not either of the groups who did the endorsement- nothing on their official sites about it) but the Reagan quote, then saying they were founded in 97- Reagan was unable to communicate by that point.

..as for who fell for what, I was referring to the ‘VFW endorsement’ embarrassment several months back in which Military Vets for Paul announced that the VFW endorsed him and the campaign ran with it. However, the VFW hadn’t endorsed him and they ran a very powerful cease and desist letter regarding that claim. The problem was expounded when whomever Military Vets for Paul was didn’t capitulate.

May be nothing, they are just repeating the same article the campaign released, just like the campaign released an article on the VFW endorsement after Military for Paul made up an article about the endorsement.

It’s funny that so many people here call Paul supporters conspiracy nuts, yet when he gets any good press the same people cry “it’s a conspiracy!”

The only person that said the word conspiracy was FreeinWV, I said that they at least need a fact checker for the Reagan quote.

Just what we need in a candidate ... a man with a lot of crazy ideas Yeah, "crazy" ideas like going by the constitution, restoring our liberties and getting the ridiculous debt under control. Such "unconservative" ideas! /sarc
Meanwhile, "conservatives" here are cheerleading for big-government RINO's who are about as honest as Bill Clinton, while simultaneously bashing Dr. Paul. No wonder this country is so screwed up. People get the government they deserve.

Its funny that so many people here call Paul supporters conspiracy nuts, yet when he gets any good press the same people cry its a conspiracy! My favorite is that all of Paul's supporters are left-wing moonbats, troofers, and white supremacists. Yet, if Paul goes third-party, then he's another Ross Perot splitting the GOP vote. How, if his supporters are leftists?
