Ofcourse God doesn't have to give Himself 'free will' since He is already free!
You can't find 'free will' in the Bible?
Don't you have an concordance?
Accept, I beseech thee the freewill offerings of my mouth, O Lord and teach me thy judgments (Psa.119:108)
See God wanted offerings made from the peoples free will all else God would find no pleasure in them (Isa.1)
Now you have to use your 'free will' to yield to God lest you sin (Rom.6) unless you think God is actually responsible for your sins?
Dec I think your remember the words exchanged between Doc and me. At the end of many months we each went to our neutral corners .
I will never deny that Doc, Jerry, woody , OP and others made me THINK about what the word said .
We all have a habit of skimming over the parts that do not fit our doctrinal position. But that lengthy exchange made me attend to what I was reading..One day I went Ahhhhhhhh seeing the theme of the scriptures for the first time. It was not about man at all, it was all about God .
Ed right understanding is not a matter of intelligence, it is a matter of reading the word
Are you using the King James Version?
A search of that shows only two texts (that does not help you any
Exd 21:5 And if the servant shall plainly say, I love my master, my wife, and my children; I will not go out free:
1Sa 17:25 And the men of Israel said, Have ye seen this man that is come up? surely to defy Israel is he come up: and it shall be, [that] the man who killeth him, the king will enrich him with great riches, and will give him his daughter, and make his father's house free in Israel.
Then why did you post it? I'm just quoting you! You said that in post 39.
Seems the foundation your position is built on shifts so quickly you don't know if you are coming or going...
There is my entire statment, not just a fragment of it.
So, now what is the problem with it?
I do?
Well, why don't you show me where the problem is with the entire statement this time.
I hope you do better then you did with your history knowledge.
