This is when they'll come back with an amendment to the original statement by saying, "As long as you're not hurting others, you're free to do and believe what you like." But this is an arbitrary distinction (as well as another absolute statement).

"Either way, while the proponents of these errors are free to promote them..."

But what about being free to do what you like, as long as you don't harm others? Is that just an arbitrary distinction? Consider: pot smoking is illegal, and adultery isn't. Much more arbitrary than the libertarian principle.

To answer the first question: The Bible doesn't necessarily directly speak of an infant baptism, but it clearly never speaks against infant baptism, and in fact, St. Paul endorses infant baptism.

In fact St.Paul like Jesus put very little importance on baptism as a source of salvation.He said he had little recolection of who he had baptised and did not believe he was called to baptise.Jesus on several occasions proclaimed people he encountered as saved by faith but never once said it was because they werte baptised or even instructed them to be baptised.{Zachias,woman at the well,blind man}

In several instances, the Bible refers to whole households being baptized, including members of all ages. (For instance: Acts 16:15, Acts 16:33, 1 Cor 1:16)

Both Acts 16:15 & and 16:33 clearly show salvation came after they heard the Word of God.Acts 16:31 says "believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you and your household will be saved".This is the promise of a future event contingent on belief. Acts 16:32 even indicates the word was preached to the whole household before they were saved and then baptised.This would indicate household refered to people capable of hearing and comprehending what was preached.It is clear that the message Paul is teaching is belief (faith)is required.It assumes facts not in evidence to leap to the conclusion that infants who had no faith were baptised at that time.

If infant baptism weren't the rule, there should be references to the children of Christian parents joining the Church only after they had come to the age of reason, and there aren't any such records in the Bible.

By this reasoning if Baptism were needed for salvation Jesus or one of the Apostles would have told someone to be baptised or they would not inherit the Kingdom of God.
